Hi all! I have an Etc. Ring Sling. It has two tails for those who are unfamiliar. I've had it for several months now and just tried nursing my 9-month-old in it for the first time last week. I was able to manage it (barely, and just one side) but I'm sure there's a better way. It might have something to do with the fabric I got - it's not stretchy at all. Is there any way I can manage nursing with this thing, or should I get a Maya Wrap or a pouch sling for times when he's nursing or sleepy? TIA!
I've never heard of an Etc. Ring Sling ..... is it just a regular ring sling?
I cant nurse in a pouch, the only thing I have nursed comfortably in so far is my sleeping baby ring sling .... (any ring sling should be fine). I nurse my 10 mo old dd in the cradle position shown here... tho sometimes she can nurse sitting up on my hip, but that takes more effort, LOL http://www.taylormadeslings.com/instructions.html
The Etc. sling was pretty much an unauthorized copy of Jan at SBP's Ring Wrap. If you click on Jan's illustrated instructions, she shows how to use it as a regular ring sling. IIRC, the Etc. had tapered area, so I'm not sure if that will affect this position or not.
