My sister gave me a swanke hip hammock the hip hammock made by the wahm not the playtex one but the strap rides on my neck and not matter what I do I can't get it to stay down, it does the same thing on my dh. I like the idea of a hip carrier but not the nexk strangling thing (I hate things on my neck I can't even wear neckalces) So does anyone know the differnce between the hiphammock and the mei hip?

The mei hip has a wider shoulder-more like a sling so it caps the shoulder to stay put and off your neck. I had a hip carrier too that I hated because the 3' strap rode up my neck and hurt after just 10 min. But the mei hip shoulder stays put if you position it right "over" your shoulder.
Look at the pics here to get a better idea:

I even wear it a bit lower on my shoulder and it's very comfy to me.
Good luck
