sometimes I manage to place dd in the hip carry so that she is comfy and will stay there for a while. but sometimes it cuts into her legs. i can't figure out what I do different each time. I have a mammasmilk adjustable pouch. it has slight padding for teh legs and yet I still cannot do it right very often. any tips?

Are you making sure that her knees are higher than her butt? That usually makes the biggest difference for us.

Like Sarah said, definitely make sure that your DD's knees are higher than her butt. Also, make sure all the fabric underneath her thighs and knees are smooth and pulled snug. If it's not, it can pinch her.
