Did anyone read this?! It's not available online from what I can tell, so you'd have to look in the newspaper. It shows Marvin's aunt wearing her new daughter in a bjorn-like front carrier, and saying "This is a great way to carry babies!" and the next panel has a thought balloon of the baby saying "Yeah, if you're a kangaroo!" and looking angry.
I think he meant bonding by making faces... to make her smile... or give her gas..
Anyway, maybe someone should let them know about the many communities that DO carry their babies like that and aren't kangaroos. Or, maybe the other mom should show her arm in agony from carrying her kid without a sling.
That comic is pretty much disrespectful of nigh unto everything. The only vaguely respectful thing I saw in the comics from October was the girl baby telling the dog about how it's the Chinese year of the dog and the dog being thrilled.
Come to think of it, Marvin frequently annoys me. He always seems to be in a corner or abandoned in some contraption.
I think the pink things are her feet sticking out. Though it's obviously not her whole legs dangling. Not that I would expect this cartoonist to have any clue how to depict any sort of carrier realistically.
