I looked at this slideshow of the family (baby 17!) and one of the older girls is holding the baby in a nice looking carrier while playing the piano. Pic number five. What kind of carrier is that? Anyone know?

You have to go through the pics. It is like the third or fourth one I think.

LOL, I thought maybe this thread would be a "pick a carrier for the Duggars" thread. Somehow I see them as heavily-padded ring sling fans. NoJo or OTSBH, Michelle? Ooh, or maybe a country-shabby-chic kind of ring sling like a Chicken Scratch? I could also see them using a classic Kozy, like the Windy Day print.

Not sure what carrier that is in the pic, but it looks rather like an Ergo.

may my heart always be open to little birds who are the secrets of living whatever they sing is better than to know  - e.e. cummings

Definitely a camel Ergo, but that's a homemade insert/receiving blanket. Still, whatever works, works! I'm glad to see that the baby is being worn.

Awesome! All of the sudden, I keep hearing about this family but none of the threads had pix. Now, not only gorgeous pix, but a girl wearing a baby in an Ergo! How cool is that?!?!?

They have been seen wearing ring slings, too. I saw two on their TV show (the one where they go on vacation I think - not sure). I don't know what kind. I'm kind of curious though.

I cant help but say...atleast w/ all 'em kids they use baby carriers.
Thank heavens! Could U imagine...17 kids w/out babycarriers...can we say insanity inducing...

Now if only the parents w/ 1 kid would follow suit and use a carrier...then we'd be getting someplace.

(which, fyi im on vaca down here in DC where my dad lives, can U believe it, been here for almost 1 week, another few days still to go and I havent seen ONE babycarrier! Nothing...everyone is using Strollers...everyone! locals and tourists alike! N the locals on TBW all say DC babywearers exist...but um...havent seen any...so yes, we need more babywearing parents! )

I was just in Minot, N.D. last week. NOT ONE SLING OR WRAP. I saw 1 baby in a Bjorn. Two babes in arms, the rest in mondo insert-infant-seat strollers. And mamas just let their kids scream in the stores there - babies and the under 2y set. Just crying... That doesn't happen up here much at all, so it was very distressing.

Thanks for telling me. I had an older style Ergo and was guessing that was the new style. It looks like the baby was loosly swaddled and placed sideways in the carrier with her feet sticking out one side.

That's great that they use an Ergo!!

I'm not exactly sure what Jim Duggar is doing now, but I know he has been involved in politics. They are very frugal... buy things second-hand, save and use cash only... then even own that house free and clear.
