I came up with a few searches on the Asian carrier forum (the entire name is too long to remember ):

Dh wants one of these. He tried one on at a conference and loved it. It's the only carrier he's ever asked for specifically.

So here's my quandry. I want a two shouldered carrier suitable for use with an infant. When I first read about it I thought the obi would do but then I saw it says "3 mos and up". I have a ring sling and that will still work but I need something more hands free for certain activities. Grocery shopping with a toddler in the cart and a babe in a ring sling only really leaves one arm free the other arm is a little "dinosaured"- ya know? Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?

I would go with the 10 lb. weight thing.
Both of my dc were well over 10 lbs. by the time they were 3 months old.
oh, and also neck control. If your baby has good amount of neck control before then (mine were right around 8-9 weeks), then I'd go with that as a measurement.
