I will try to tie it around my waist and see if that helps. Thanks.
Yeah! I've always heard to try the waist straps at your natural waist to get comfortable using the carrier. That's where its always been most comfortable for me too.

A carrier with a padded waist (like the Sutemi Pack, Ergo, and some newer mei tais) generally works better on the hips, but an unpadded waist (traditional mei tais, Kozy, Babyhawk, etc) usually feel better somewhere on your natural waist. Although until Naked Baby was over a year old, I'd do a HIGH back carry, and tied the lower straps above my breasts.

I just started cinching the Kozy at bottom to narrow it and it works great. I've been tying at the hips because I'm used to that for backpacking and the waist bothers me. Going to the bathroom is no problem and I even changed my pants the other day with the mei tai on

With it tied at your hips? What kind of pants were you wearing ?

This is possibly the strangest line of questions I have ever posted

Hee hee
Very low riding pants. I just pulled up the Kozy a bit and voila! Didn't even have to untie the waist.

That's what I figured. I don't think it would work for me with jeans
