On a positive note, I once got cheered by a whole carload of women while I was walking and nursing my baby in the Ergo. Loved that!
I'm not really sure if this would be considered funny, it isn't really, to me. An acquaintance of mine (male) said to me as I was nursing and eating at the same time, " Hmph, that's so weird..."
When I asked what was so weird, he replied, "Breastfeeding while you eat." When I asked him what was so weird about it he said he didn't know exactly but that it was "in the same ballpark as pooping and eating".
Yeah. We had words.
Ugh, how obnoxious. I wish people would get that breastfeeding should be compared to eating food, not to eliminating it. To that end, when my daughter was younger, I made a specific point of feeding her in public spaces and going elsewhere to change her. Now she gets too distracted to nurse in front of people, though.
I used to be amused by drinking from a water bottle while breastfeeding... drinks all around!
