I've read about that before. It happened quite a while ago. I thought that the children had been returned to the parents, though. It was a very long time away from each other. That dear family had to suffer so needlessly.

OMG! That is tragic! When ds was 2+, dh took a couple of pictures of us breastfeeding in bed - you couldn't "see anything" but it was obvious (to us) that he was nursing. I took them to a one-hour place too and was a little unsettled when they told me that had accidentally printed them in black and white, so I had to wait while they printed them in color - and they wouldn't give me the black and white prints. To this day, I wonder what they did with them. At the time, I wondered if they were stalling...

Ahhh, you're right, the article is dated April 2003! They certainly must have their kids back by now. Sorry about the old info.

This is one of the reasons we don't have any nursing or naked pictures on film. Luckily we have a digital camera to capture those precious moments. And my father has a photo quality printer (he is a photographer, so has good equipment).

Even though this is an old story (I remember seeing it here over a year ago), it still happens, and we are very cautious about it.

I just cant believe this

I work at a DAs office and every one knows I am nursing my 13 month old (I pump 2x a day) . No one would ever say this was criminal... There has got to be something else to this story ....

I've seen this article several times on a few different sites, and I swear the story changes!
I read one that said the child she was in trouble for breastfeeding was the 3 year old, not the 1 year old. And I know I'm not the only one that read it, because these articles have been on other breastfeeding boards and communities and other women said the same thing.
O.o
I don't know who to believe anymore!!!
