yay!

dh told me that the wife of his coworker that he nagged (cough) *informed* of the benefits of bfing (of course, much info from links provided here) has just weaned, at 13 months. well, of course not 'yay' for the weaning, but that someone who was dead set on ff became a diehard lactivist that nursed for 13 months!

a ripple effect takes place when we share our knowledge; from me to my dh to her dh, to her... now, she has two pg sisters that are ffers, that never even considered bfing, & *they're* getting it from her end

i just thought everyone would be cheered to know that your hard work is not without practical results!

happy new year, suse

Cool!

I have a friend who wasn't committed to BF before some of our conversations, (everyone in her family FF) who is still nursing her 15 mo old (only twice a day, but still!!), and I am really proud of her!

We have to start somewhere! I figure even if I don't convince someone to BF their baby, maybe they'll think enough to consider it next time.

Keep up the good work!
Sus

Baby the babies while they're babies so they don't need babying for a lifetime.

That's awesome!

My sister (doesn't have any kids yet of her own-but she still knows the benefits of bf!) telling everyone and their dog about bf! and how her sister BF her "perfect" niece of 16 months! (She thinks dd is perfect---she's her only niece)

The power of mouth is awesome!

I just thought I'd share that when I first read this sentence it appeared to me to read, "A nipple effect" instead of "ripple effect" :LOL How appropriate!

What good news, and encouraging in what feels like an uphill battle.
