Fishing around for the slideshow....hmmm. I can't exactly find it. Anyway, it's really really beautifully done and maybe you could borrow theirs (with their permission of course) or create your own?

What a nice site! I would love to like to them also! TY!

Lovely idea! I will see if I can make it so they can be submitted through the site.

Isn't that odd that's it's already taken!!!!

what a great website. I look forward to submitting a picture and story!

A couple of things: in the main heading is there an extra space between at/a?

I am unsure on the grammer on the "Who Are We" page....*We are mom's* should the ' be removed since it is not possessive?

OK Nicole. I have the page set up for mens opinions. Along with the statement get first name, age & if they have children & how many. http://www.lactivists.org/pages/men.php

Should we display only positive opinions or include both? Anyone??? I have it set for both right now.

I jumped up to get her, hungry babe screaming, dragged her out of the water, stripped her, put her in the stroller, bundled her in the baby's blanket, (it was January) & went to a store to buy her new clothes via Strawbridge's to return an accidentally shoplifted article of clothing. I actually went to Baby Gap, where they directed me to their cozy restroom that has a glider & changing table & I finished BF Sophie, & then managed to find Emma an outfit on the clearance rack.
Talk about a new (not really) mama having a hard time - LOL!

LMK what you can do! Look at the site & see what needs info & improvement. Am I missing a critical page? Most pages have little blurbs. I need more! Run with what I have up already. If this community can organized a nurse-in, we can organize this site also!

hey - I would love to help as much as I can but I am on the BOD for a midwifery pac, kicking off a new birth non-profit and trying to help out with the 2006 CIMS forum in my spare time. Frequently on line, like to write and great with reseach plus I have some good contacts. I love grassroots!!

RE who breastfeeds - a study was done that showed women were NOT influenced by celebrities the BF but by having support in their community and people encouraging their choice. Not needed, but one more reason to keep the energy up!!

The site is great and so quickly. No wonder SAHM and WAHMs are upsetting the economy!!!

Since there are hundreds of breastfeeding sites geared to moms & moms to be, I decided this site will be geared to the media & uncomfortable. So the media does have an interest in celebs who BF.

How about a link to the page that has those cards you can print out to hand out in support of moms when you see them NIP? (I don't know where the site is)

Well that would be directed more at moms that already nurse. I need stuff the media & those who are ignorant & are uncomfortable about BF would be interested in.

I wanted to get back here to post - it would be research like the study I mentioned that should be on the site for media. The new AAP guidelines - all those things; also, following up with people who file complaints when their babies are given formula in hospital (another good media aspect).

So pages with research and press releases from other orgs would be great on the site. Who is keeping a list of articles and activist activities for the site?
