If you have time, please read this article. It left me kind of confused on what they were doing it for.

91.7 had a call in show on this today. I only found out about it when Dh let me know shortly before it was over. I got the number and called in, talked about the ease of NIP with a sling and nursing clothes. Then I went on to say that some of the people who object to seeing NIP should look at their own dining habits because when I'm in a restaurant I'd rather that some of them did their eating with a bag over THEIR heads.

We had a good laugh, unfortunately the hour ended before I could mention that Dd is almost 18 months - that would have given the hosts a gasp.

Hi Amy,

I read the article - I always find these kind of articles frustrating. They are trying so hard to be objective that they give the impression of endorsing the idea that women shouldn't breast-feed in public. I don't necessarily think the article meant that, but it was definitely ambiguous.

That employee was horrendously out of line, though! I cannot believe she treated that mom in that manner. No wonder so many people don't breast-feed, if that is the kind of abuse moms are subject to.

As it happens this particular woman is the medical liason (sp?) for the LLL of Michigan! So she knew better. What about the women that don't? I wouldn't have a few kids ago and I would have left mortified. Maybe even started bottle feeding to save hassel. That's what gets me!
