but yes, he was trying to be very polite and accomadating sounding, but by paragraph three spilled the beans on two "policies" in place to protect nursing mothers with a safety zone. This safety zone includes the offer to have the interview in a private room or to use a blanket to cover up to protect me from "curious onlookers"....

stay tuned!
if the policy violates law it's a load'a crap and they need to know that :. are they admitting that they're breaking the law?

those policies are NOT to protect the bf moms they are to protect the public from maybe seeing a boobie or two.

Fireflies can you email a copy of the letter to my DH, Joe? Do you still have his email address?

Thanks

Umm, this really sounds like a form letter to me. It makes no specific reference to anything that actually happened to the OP.

Lazy me just got around to reading your breastfeeding statute. No news to Fireflies but for others here it is:

Wash. Revised Code § 9A.88.010 (2001) states that the act of breastfeeding or expressing breast milk is not indecent exposure. (HB 1590)

Better than nothing but not good. Frankly lame. So, unless there is something else your lawyer has found, state law does not forbid state buildings from having policies as overtly discriminatory as the ones described in the letter Fireflies received. So this fight will need creative tactics.

I'm waiting with baited breath to hear what your next move will be. Wish I wasn't on the opposite coast.
