hi mamas, i know we have mostly all seen this youtube video. i know for awhile there was a link to it on a thread here. what i am looking for is information about the program that originally broadcast this story (i know it was through the BBC). i am looking to use it in a class i'm teaching, and i believe the youtube video is edited in a way that makes it biased against extended nursing. is the original program? how could i get my hands on it? any ideas?

I've seen this on youtube and was soo saddened by the comments on the video. I was however really happy to read that 'reply' that the woman in the video wrote. It was very well written. Its a shame she has to defend herself.
what a beautiful story...we need to give our kids more love while we can, not less. She's right, the world is a cruel hard place, we should give our children all the love and comfort we can to build a good foundation for them
Just watched this video again with my 2.5 year old son sitting in my lap. My poor boy is having a hard time sharing mamma milk with his new baby sister. He was excited to see the big girls still having mamma milk and said "Oh wow! Nursing there! My turn?" So I nursed him as he kept his eyes glued to the computer and the big girls. It was so nice to see the video and then read her reply... I have NO support outside of my husband for tandem nursing my kids. My own mother, who bf'd me until I was two, was shocked when I told her last night that I was nursing my DS while on the phone to her. "Still?!"
But I liked the "virtual" encouragement that the video offered!
