Hi, ladies, take a look at my gorgeous Birth Blessings bracelet; I am SOOOOOO EXCITED about how it turned out!

http://share.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=EeAM2TRszcsWz8A

I also have one of the pictures on the Yahoo board on the bracelets album.

I was going to make an anklet, but you should see how fat my elephant ankles are right now!! And it turned out that once the beads were on the wire, they fit my wrist exactly.

Best of all, with the wonderful, free spacer beads from Kara, my cost to complete the masterpiece was only about $12.50!

Can't wait to see the rest of the bracelets...

ETA: I hope you all can see the slideshow of the large pictures; all I see when I follow the link are the thumbnails, grrrr.

Thanks, gals! I edited my original thank you post to add the photo link at the bottom. Let's all do that: That way our picture links won't get lost amongst the compliments , and will stay with the list of who sent what bead...

Very pretty, Savannah!

I was going to finish mine and lo and behold, one of the beads was not drilled all the way through! So I drove down to our ("our", that sounds so high-falutin'!) jeweler to see if he would drill it through - he's a local guy, super nice and a really great jeweler to boot - only to find out that he's on vacation til next week! : So this baby better be patient!!!

Here's mine:

(with my birth necklace I made)

http://home.earthlink.net/~eaglefalc...ngs/beads.html

I asked for "ocean colors" and I admit I was thinking luminous blues and greens, so when the beads began coming in it really didn't seem like what I had in mind! But when I put them all together I was struck by how truly evocative of the ocean they are, and I have fallen in love with it. Isn't it interesting, too, how the beads are all so different yet all go together so well?

Sarah, if you go to a store where they sell beads they should be able to help you pick out the right supplies. You can do it in different ways -- I use flexible wire and loop it through the clasp and then a crimp bead (a little silver bead that you flatten around the wire with a small pliers to make it hold.) Some people just use fishing line which you can simply knot off at the clasp.

Oooooh, Linda, I love them!! Who got you the starfish?? That is SO PERFECT! I had fun picking out the bead I sent you. =O)

I was clueless about making bracelets, but there is a cute store nearby "The Bead Bungalow" where they help you with everything. I just brought my beads in, sat down with their little planner board, picked out some charms, and went to town. They came by and helped at the end with sizing and clasps and did the crimping. I just strung the wire and paid the money, haha!

I finished my bracelet yesterday. The picture is a little blurry, I'll take a better one later, but this gives a good idea of what it looks like. I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

Ooooh, Lazuli, that DID turn out beautiful! I can't wait to see a clearer picture. Did you add blue spacers and those matching end beads?

Finally got a picture of my bracelet taken. Thank goodness for bead shops! They helped me make it much nicer than I could have on my own!
