Oh Nemmer,

I'm so sorry. Our first placement fell through and it was the most painful experience of my life. Please know that many of us are thinking of you and mourning your loss.

I'm feeling a bit in limbo. Or maybe it is denial. I just can't shake the hope she'll change her mind. But I can't cling to that, or I'll just get hurt all over again every day it doesn't happen. I guess wavering happens a lot with birthmoms, understandably. Most of the time the adoptive parents don't know about it. Our caseworker seems optomistic, but at the same time advises us not to count on a change of heart.

Thanks again for all the hugs and prayers. We're surviving.
