Talk to me about full moons and labor. My EDD is 01/01 and I would love it if the moon helped me out this Sunday.

Anyone know............

My last baby was born on the full moon. Feb. 17. My midwife kept saying, soemone is going to have their baby on the full moon. I wonder who? We didn't think it would be me - he was almost 4 weeks early!

I've heard that its common for lots of women to go into labor at that time. Of course, science says it ain't so - but science shmience. Any midwife or L & D unit will tell you that it is so.

Anyways, good luck!

there are a thread SOMEWHERE on these boards last week that was saying that we tend to birth our babies in the same phase of the moon that we were born under. It had a link to a site where you could check the moon on given dates..... WHen I looked up myself and my kids, we were all born within a couple of days of the new moon. cool huh?? I'll see if I can find it and pass it on.

also, i heard that there could be a correlation between the phase of the moon under which a woman is born and under which she'll birth. i was born on the new moon and am "due" about 1 1/2 weeks before the new moon. don't know if this is a truism, but i hear 1st time mamas are often a week or two longer growing their babes, so we'll see. here's a great/easy website if you want to look up your bday and "due dates" or the dates you gave birth.

http://stardate.org/nightsky/moon/

Found it in the UC thread for Dec. Have fun!

Hey, that's cool! I justed looked, and this baby's due date is on the exact phase of the moon that I was born on. My first guy was born on the almost exact opposite phase. I don't know what that means -but its definitley interesting! I wonder what phase the baby will be born on?

I was born on the new moon and both boys were born 4 days after the new moon. That puts this baby on the 15th.... should I mark it on the calendar, lol??

But interesting, eh?

Oooh, I like this idea of birthing babies according to the phase of the moon you were born under! DD and I were both born under full moons, which puts this baby's projected birthday in the 20's of January! That lets Daddy leave AND come back with time to spare!

I think I'm a believer!

Well folks, the Full Moon and the Nor'Easter did NOT put me into Labor

I looked up the moon thing posted above:

I was born on a New Moon
DD1 = 3 days prior to New Moon
DC2 = EDD on 01/01, next New Moon is 01/08/05.....YIKES.....I SO can't no go that long.

I am SO done with this pregnancy. I cried an uncountable number of times this weekend. I am SO nauseas and uncomfortable, new bean is moving and hurting me…..blah blah blah, you all know the drill

Please send good birthing vibes my way....

well Heather, you know babies only come when THEY are ready! You can hope and pray but ultimately I don't believe we have any control over it.

BUT, rest assured, you WILL go into labor SOMETIME!

My MW told me today that when there's a snowstorm more babies tend to come. Why would this be? We're due for a snowstorm tomorrow so I'm hoping in my case she's right!
