Making a March 9th sandwich with a Halloween filling.
Just starting the March thread in anticipation of REACHING MY GOAL in MARCH!!! 3.8 lbs to go!
OK, lets all hit the ground running for March! I want to hit 145 this month!
Maybe the fact that the baby is nursing all.....night......long.... will help me get rid of an extra pound or two. Unless I have to eat extra calories to stay conscious and pleasant during the day.
It's weird being at 150 again because all while I was getting heavier and at my heaviest I thought of myself as being about 150. And from the front I don't look too different now than at 185 (well, the giant breastfeeding breasts are new).
I've been doing a bit of thinking on how I'm going to stay at a comfortable size once I get there. I think it'll help to be honest with myself about how I'm feeling and looking so if there's a negative change I can act quickly to fix it.
But I should be able to drop 5 pounds this month too.
Go Rosemary! Go!
Oh... as an aside... DS night weaned in the past couple weeks and has been nursing a lot less (my boobs deflated!) and I'm wondering if that's the weight I lost or if it's possible that I might lose a little weight now that he's nursing less or if I should just be extra careful because I'm likely to put ON weight, now that there's fewer calories being burned each day from the nursing. My friend gained 10 lbs when she quit nursing, so I'm kinda nervous...

Wading slowly and nervously into this homeschooling thing.
I'm REALLY trying hard to cut out sugar. Wish me luck! And good luck to the rest of you, too!
I am joining on for another month. I lost *I think* between 3-5 pounds last month and am continuing my journey with Intermittent Fasting.
Overall, I feel great and things are flowing!
3 days lifting, 3 days elliptical, one day rest.
2.06 11 weeks, 3.10 6 weeks, 11.10 8 weeks, 7.11 5 weeks
TWINS due 4.03.13
I can't wait for the warmer weather so I can run more often. I have been walking the dogs but I can't run with so much snow and ice still on the sidewalks and trails. I am so done with winter. I drop weight really fast when I run consistently. So that is my plan. I also hope to add some yoga or pilates to my routine to help tighten my mid-section.
If I lose 5 in March, I'll be in the 170's, which is where I haven't been since I met my now ex-husband!!
If I get down 5 in March I will be in the 180s. I would be so overjoyed to be in the 180s : I just have to keep my goals in mind instead of my instant satisfaction.
Three big girls (10) + (almost 9!);
One little boy (6) and a full on toddler (8/12) born with TAPVR (repaired at 6 days old).
But, this is going to be my month! I'm going to get down into the 130's, yay! My goal is to lose 7lbs and eat clean the entire month. My birthday is on the 18th and normally I'd have birthday cake and everything. But, this year I don't feel like it. I know that eating even just a little bit of sweets is difficult for me, and sometimes it causes me to slip up big time and eat even more. I'd rather just be good to myself, eat some fruit to celebrate my b-day, and reach my goal. I'm getting close!
dancebaraka, I saw on last months thread where you talked about this. I am really interested in it. Do you think you could send me some links to info about it, if it wouldn't be too much trouble?
I've started doing a very modified version of this where 2-3 days a week I only eat between around 10 and 8.
I've found, too, that if I get my exercise when fasting, I've got more cravings for healthy foods when I next eat.
I didn't do as well as I wanted to in February. It was a stressful month which included a move half way across the country, so one of my goals for this month is to re establish healthy habits in this new environment.
I'm excited for the challenge!
OK, I'm in (again) too. I lost a total of nothing last month but hope to do better this month. I got myself into a 5 mile run in May, so I need to start running. (Why oh why did I sign up for it?) Maybe it'll get these final few pounds off. I don't lose nursing, either : so it's gonna have to be diet and exercise for me!
My MIL asked me if I wanted to do a 3 mile run with her in May or June. I've run specifically to run exactly one time in my life and that was 1 mile. I thought it would be a good feeling to know I'm in good enough shape to run 3, though, so I'm going to go for it.
Borrowing a friend's jogging stroller tonight to see if I like it before I get one, because it would be pretty much impossible to find time without LO!
I've lost some weight this week, due to sickness mostly (no appetite) and I actually don't like that because I never know how to keep sick weight loss off.

Starting from the 228 mark for this month. I've been waking up at 4:35 am to get my workout in before work. I do low body weights M/Th, Short Cardio/Upper Body wts T/F and long cardio W. My aim is to get some kind of cardio in on the weekends, whether it's hiking or walking or being goofy with the fam to boogey music. Didn't hit it yesterday as my sugar hangover headache was huge and I just cannot do weights with a headache. But I got in my short cardio/upper body weights workout this am. So we're trucking. Mr Toona says he sees the changes, so that's a plus!
Eating strategy for me is TF with limited, but not absolute-counting carbs. I just don't do well when I have to count everything, so I'm not obsessing and just keeping it trim. Also, with the post sugar hangover I had, I'm seriously keeping that stuff out of my life. Yuck! You all will just have to help me with the afternoon at work blahs.
Alright everyone! We can do this and lets keep each other motivated! WOOHOO!!!
I was trying to lose weight when I got pregnant. If I can somehow find the motivation, I might be able to get CLOSE to my wedding weight (still about 15 from my goal) by baby's 1st birthday in May.
