i just bought the books and calculator on ebay. i don't want to do meetings and with us traveling (hubby travels a lot for work and my son who is 2 months will go with) a lot and most likely will be without internet most times in the near future because we're moving, it isn't feasible to do it online. a friend mentioned there is an app avail. on certain phones, but we don't have cell phones. so, basically i'll be doing it at home by myself. when you join online you don't get the books, so i had to find something that worked for me.

Online only for me, I lost 60 lbs before getting pregnant with DS2. (Now I get to do it again. ) Meetings just aren't a good fit for me with 4 young kids.

I got the monthly pass on Saturday, so I can go to the meetings in person and do the tracking online.

I WOH, so getting to meetings isn't as hard as it could be. And I feel like it's a big help. To look people in the eye every week is a big motivating factor.

Helps that I have a great meeting and leader though. They're not all as good.

Never managed to like eTools either. Security is having my journal with me. Works for me.

I'm an "other". I bought the old "WW@Home" kit back in ~2001, which came with a journal/points books/points slider thingy. I've never been to a meeting or done it online -- I've always done it solo. Perhaps that's why I'm doing it...again. I would love to go to meetings and have the support, actually, but the closest one is ~50 miles away. I can't drive two hours roundtrip to go to meetings.
