I am desperate to lose some weight and gain some muscle and strengthen my core. One of the options I have nearby is a Fitness Together personal training center.
Has anyone done this? Did you feel like it was worth the money? I haven't called yet, but anticipate the cost to be high.
I like the idea that I would have to schedule appointments because I'd be less likely to skip out on them, unlike going to the gym which I'm sure I would skip if I was tired or if it was too cold out :)

I bought a Groupon with Fitness Together a few weeks ago. Have gone 3 times (have 6 sessions through the groupons). I would say that it's a great way to have an appointment for fitness and yes, it works. But when the guy quoted me the prices for continuing sans groupon, I about fell out of my chair. It was $69-89 per session depending on how many you buy at a time. They want you to come 3 times a week but I'm guessing they'd deal with twice a week. There is no way I can afford $500-1000 a month on personal training.
If I were wealthy enough to afford it, it would be worth it.
Me (39), DP (45). Together since 04, married in June 07.
