I want to play, this month! My goal for myself this month is to run, everyday.  I know that might sound nuts, but it is actually to get myself to let go of perfectionism (must run over 3 miles, every time, can't have any walk breaks, etc) and just get out and do SOMETHING everyday.      So far, so good:   (and I'm sorry, I can't ever get things to format right on this new host, can't even see a cursor...grrr).  May 1: 45 min run/walk   May 2:  35 min run/walk  May 3: 30 min run May 4: 30 min run.  Total so far:  140 minutes/1000.

I want to be in this month too!!  I want to drop the pounds I gained over the winter months and fit into my spring clothes!  This week hasn't been the greatest, but I'm still going to try for the 1000 minutes!

Between a nasty sinus infection and grad school finals, this month has been off to a slow start. I have to remind myself that even though writing term papers is important and deadline-driven, I'm still "allowed" to carve out 20 or 30 minutes to work out. Anybody else struggle with that? I've gotten a lot better in the last year or so when it comes to giving myself permission to prioritize my health over all my other responsibilities.

 

May 5 -- 25 minutes walk

May 6 -- 10 minutes aerobics, 20 minutes target toning (abs, hips, chest)

 

Total: 55/1000

It has been a long road for me... giving myself that time each day. I am in such a habit now that I don't feel guilty anymore.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

 

This is such a busy time of year - especially with school aged kids!  


My goal is hit 1500 minutes.   I say this every month and never achieve it.  Funny thing is - I used to do 1500 minutes easy until I hit 41!   Gosh!  I need to step it up.  I am learning though that I can stay fit and lean without killing myself - so I guess that is a plus....and really, how long it is cool for me to wear a bikini around my teenagers anyway....  LOL!

 

5/3  -  55 minute run

5/4  -  20 minute run

5/5  -  70 minute walk with friend

5/6  -  120 total - 30 minute run and 90 minute strength training

5/7  -  40 minute run during regional track meet
