Can anyone suggest a good breakfast for me? I will be eating about 1 hour before the race(and is that ok)?  I did a 13.1 a few years ago but don't remember what I ate!

I've been eating peanut butter toast before my long runs (most recently 10 milers) 30-60 minutes before, needing a bit of food at mile 5-6.  Lots of people eat Gus and similar things mid run, but they turn my stomach.  I've been eating Trader Joe's "An apple walked into a bar" which are appley versions of fig newtons.  They serve me really well.

Is this the Cap City half?   Good luck!

I always have PB&J on rice cake or toast before a long run.  For a half I need 2 pieces about 30-45 inutes before the race.  I usually bring it with me and eat it while I'm waiting for the start of the race, along with some water.  That usually gets me through, with some gels during the race.
