Glad I found this thread!

Pre-pregnancy I was at 145 and I got up to about 180 just before my boy was born. I am already down to 157 which is very motivating! (Thank you, hungry nursing baby!!) I am 2 1/2 weeks postpartum and just got the ok from my midwife to start taking short walks and building up to regular exercise. I was so lazy during my pregnancy... being outside in the dead of summer is not my idea of a good time! But it is beginning to cool down a bit and I just purchased a double stroller so I'm ready to get moving!

My goal weight is 125. I am 5'2" so at 145 I was already overweight and I'm hoping that a combo of nursing, healthy eating and exercise will take me there.

I am updating my current weight.  I am down to 128lbs.  6 more to go to reach my goal, but would really like to lose 10.

Well my kids broke my scale by dousing it in water. My DH managed to fix it but when I stepped on it the darn thing said I'm back up to 200lbs. That's a five pound gain. I really hope it's wrong. I haven't been able to diet ever since I got on this stupid medicine that is making me so sick. I always feel like I have to barf! I'm wondering if I need my thyroid meds adjusted?  Nothing is easy right now, I can't wait to start feeling better.

Congrats! Slow and steady is the only way I think to make sure it will stick...or stay gone in this case.

Well, I think I'm ready to join you ladies.  I'm 7 mths pp.  My current weight is 161 and my goal is 130.  I've gone through so many fits and starts since I had my baby and I've gained and lost the same 5 lbs over and over. I tried to go back to WW (which once worked for me) but didn't like the new program. I tried low carb but felt really bad.  Finally, I'm just back to calorie counting. I feel a lot more in control and less obsessed about eating. I need to work on exercise now.

Hi again everyone-

Been MIA for a while.  I am doing the 'Insanity' workouts with DH. Week 4 currently and the fit test and measurements for week 2 had me gaining 2 lbs.... yikes.  Don't like that.

Oh well, we will see how the fit test next Monday goes.

I am currently 143 and am still shooting for 135 (although, we are looking to start trying again soon).... I would like to be 140 when I get myBFP.

Hi, ladies! I've seen 154-155 on the scale most days lately. Reading through the thread just totally motivated me! I'm proud of myself for working out every Monday and Wednesday for over a month now! I really need to spend more time in the gym but it is hard to find that time! I've been doing worse eating, too, as my boyfriend just got back in town after a month away, is deploying soon, and is eager to eat out a whole bunch. Trying to get back on track now though...really hope I can kick another 20 lbs before I move back to my hometown in November.

trekkingirl, we're doing well, thank you. We had a lot of nursing difficulties in the beginning due to undiagnosed posterior tongue tie, but things are finally on track now.  My older children are back to school and I think we're all enjoying a little more structure after our busy summer :)

Oh I cannot even tell you how glad I am that this thread still exists. I AM BACK! And I need to be back! After a few fun and over indulgant vacations this summer, I decided to see what the damage was.. and I am up to 142lbs. So yeah, Working on getting these last 12lbs off once and for all! And I think once I do it this time (because I can and I will!) I will stick with a maintainence plan instead of just winging it last time. These past few months I have only been weighing myself once or twice a MONTH and using my head to guess the calories I am consuming. Shocking for me right?! Well anyway, obviously this didn't work for me, so it is time to get back on track! My baby is now 18 months, so I am not even remotely postpartum anymore, but this thread just feels like home. I'm sure there are many of you I haven't even met yet- crazy! Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you all better as I restart this journey! Lets do it!

Congrats ladies! Looks like everyone is making good progress.

Welcome back Amanda! Do you want me to update your stats? If so just the current weight? I think if you lose it, gain a bit back and then lose it again you get to count the lost then gained then lost again lbs twice smile.gif

Ugh. I was really careless with my eating yesterday and it's carried over to today. Fortunately, I still tracked my calories (today, that is) but I only have 115 to eat for dinner. Oops!

I have had dinners like this. You total it all up and realize you can have a carrot for dinner. No fun. That is the good thin about tracking though. If I wasn't tracking I would just eat whatever. Probably how I got so big pre-pregnancy.

Hang in there. Losing weight for me involves the scale jumping around a bit. I sometime gain and lose the same few pounds for a while. You have to step back and look at the big picture. If the overall trend is down you're winning the war. You may not win all the weekly battles.

So, guess what?  I'm back.  No baby after all.  I have absolutely no idea what the heck happened.  It wasn't an evaporation line, cause I've seen those before.  It was a definite positive.  But, lost symptoms about 2 weeks later, retested and two negatives.  I figured I was miscarrying, which we were sad but okay with given the fact of 6mo twins.  Decided to wait around to see what would happen.  Last week I was dealing with lower back pain on one side, and wondered if it was related, a sign of impending bleeding?  Thursday evening it started becoming more intense with sharp pains and I decided it was time to officially rule out ectopic.  So, in we went and after everything, they could find no evidence of a pregnancy, missed miscarriage or otherwise.  Weird.  So, I'm leaning towards a bad test, but that does not explain the symptoms I was definitely feeling.  Dunno... I think I might just be crazy... Okay, I have 8 kids, I'm definitely crazy.  And, I think my back pain was just cosleeping weirdness, exacerbated that day by having a WIC appt in a building in which I have to lug two buckets with 18 lb twins in them up and down stairs by myself.  Yeah, that could do it.  (said WIC office is relocating before my next appt, YAY!!)

And now I'm back. Hello!! hola.gif I'll go back and read and catch up.  Good to see all you ladies again.

Yes, definitely. It's amazing how I can live in denial about what I'm eating and then I wonder why the pounds won't budge.  eyesroll.gif

I love homemade: cute skirts, apricot jam, and family!

I weighed in yesterday and am currently at 184.  That was a little gain over the last time I weighed in, but I haven't been updated on the front post, so overall a loss. :)  The girls must have been increasing my supply, because I have been ravenous nonstop for weeks.  I'm not really focusing on what I'm eating at the moment, cause I just need calories for them, but I did some Wii fit (47 min...got lost on one of the biking games, LOL) so that was something!  I'm fitting comfortably into my 12s, but I'd like to firm up my tummy a little more.  Still feel really poochy from the twins.

Mom to eight!!  Our twin girls arrived 3-3-2011.

Welcome.gifguatemama1!

Mylilmonkeys- I am so sorry for your loss. Welcome back though and congratulations on the loss. I have you down 13 lbs now, is that right?

AFM. I am struggling again this week. Today is my birthday and I plan to have some ice cream but I have been anxiety eating. I was bit by a dog on Tuesday that has not had any shots. Animal control still has not gotten the dog quarantined and I am worried I will need the shots. Worse, I am wondering if my little one will need them too because she is nursing. Added to that is I am not feeling well today. It's probably just the cold the kids have had but I am convinced it's rabies of course. Ugh
