Well, I am mid-cycle and I do tend to weigh less when I have my period, so maybe.  Water retention?  Maybe...gosh, what do you do about that?  Anything?  I guess I just have to ride it out, and continue following the plan.  Even if I don't lose weight, I am eating much more healthier and exercising more, so that is the silver lining, I suppose!

My body is changing so much! My butt is smaller, my waist is smaller, my calves and my arms too. And I've even lost weight in my breasts? Weird. I wasn't expecting my breasts to get smaller...

How about you? Any body changes?

This is a massive thread and only read the first page, but i just got to goal right before Christmas, after doing WW online from last june and losing 45lbs of post-baby weight. It wasn't "easy" but it was definitely do able and i am maintaining well now. :D

Okay, I must stop eating chocolate!   DH was a sweetheart and kids were too and now I have eaten way too much candy.  Today, no candy.  And I must be more accountable and write everything down.

B -- oatmeal, tea with milk

L --

S --

D --

E -- 3 mile walk

Those sound like great changes!    And yes, my boobs always get smaller when I am losing.

I feel like my belly is shaping up, but then I am 6 weeks postpartum, so there was a fair amount of squish there.  I am much stronger internally -- now that my insides don't threaten to fall out with every sneeze, I am getting more physical and it feels so incredibly good to move again.  I have a pilates tape that I am ready to try.  Should be fun.

If you do eat the chocolate - COUNT IT!  I always found it better to allow myself a piece or two, but count the points.  If I won't waste 5 points on a hummus wrap -- why would I waste them on 2 oreos or something?  You know??

Anyone else have weight gain like this while following the plan??  Is this just to be expected??

Looking forward to going back and reading through this thread, so excuse my question if it's already been discussed!

joyfulheart -- my weight tends to bounce around alot.  I like to see a loss every week, but it doesn't always happen.   For me, weight loss is a bit herky-jerky.  I'll lose 4, then 0, then 3, then gain 1 and when I average it, I see that I am losing about 1-2 pounds a week which is a nice overall rate.

Give it time.  And welcome!

Oh, I am wiping tears of laughter form my eyes.  I counted the first one and the second, but not the third or the fourth.  I went off grid for six through twelve and then the box was empty.  I would need advanced math to calculate all of the points I ate yesterday.

Yes, you are totally right though.  I should count everything and be accountable to myself.  Life lesson moment here...

I did hear someone say the loveliest thing about stopping these moments of over indulgence.  She said that healthy choices start right now, not tomorrow, which sunk in for me since I am master of the "I'll start eating better tomorrow" mentality.

So, moving on...

Thank you, Ruthiegirl.  I'll keep that in mind.  I guess slow and steady win the race, with some to-be-expected ups and downs.

On another subject, regarding tracking, our meeting leader last week said, "Only track points on the days you want to lose weight!"  Point well taken!

Everyone, thanks for the inspiration on this thread!  Peace ~

Wow!!!   Fantastic.

I am with bejeweled.  I neither or gained this week which doesn't surprise me.  I have not been consistent this week -- my sweet colicky, miserable baby has been soaking my energy.  I did get to the Y and did a decent workout that felt great.  Need to do that more often.

To help with the colic, I am cutting a number of things from my diet.  Should be a good week to lose some weight since I am all ready restricting certain foods.

B -- oatmeal, banana, tea with milk (6)

L -- brown rice, eggs, spinach (8)

S -- orange, almonds (6)

D -- brown rice, chicken, spinach (7)

S -- 2 cookies (4)

I am still in the game.  Sweet baby is feeling better these days now that I have cut broccoli and onions from my diet -- much less reflux and colicky pain -- and  happier baby makes for a happier mama.  I have been sleeping better and am less snacky and emotional during the day.  With this newfound energy and happy vibe, I am ready to again jump into the weightloss pool.

Got a good workout yesterday and have another planned for tomorrow.  Dh is taking the babe for an hour each morning so I can get to the Y for some exercise.  Hooray for my sweet hubby!

I am looking forward to a productive week.  I have a couple of goals -- track points every day and at least 3 workouts.

How is everyone doing?

ruthie - glad you're feeling better

bejeweled - congrats on the loss!

I'm still on track. Loss last week was 3.4 lbs... only 1.4 until I hit 20 lbs and 4.9 until I hit 10%.  My goal for the medium term is 6 lbs a month thru the end of the year.  Long term goal is to keep it off.

Tomorrow is my weigh in and meeting.  I was on vacation last week, and couldn't figure out how to track on my iPad for some weird reason, so my expectations for this week are low!  We'll see...we'll see...

Glad I found this thread!

Okay, so I had my weigh-in today.  I lost 2.5 pounds.  I didn't track because we were on vacation.  I ate pizza 3x and cake once and hardly exercised.  On the week I gained 2 pounds, I exercised 6 days and tracked.  Go figure.  I think my cycle is really playing into this.  I weigh less when I have my period and more mid-cycle.  We'll see how it plays out next month!  But, hey, I'm not complaining that I lost!!

Hoping everyone has a great week!

Dmitrizmom,  I have been wanting to try a spinning class.  Hard, yes?  Did you feel great after, though??  (besides being sore that is!)

Oh man, I love/hate spin classes....so good, so evil.

Today went well.  Just knowing that I am tracking points here kept me in line today.  Nothing like community support to help me stay on the plan.

B -- oatmeal, tea (4)

S -- banana (2)

L -- brown rice, egg, veg, banana (10)

S -- almonds, dried apricots (6)

D -- ww pasta, sauce, 3 meatballs, salad, parmesean cheese (14)

Total - 36

JoyfulHeart - I'm with Ruthiegirl on this one... I think that spin is going to be a love/hate relationship.  I felt like I was going to die from about 2 minutes in.  It was a real eye-opener about the deficiencies elsewhere in my cardio program.  When I got done, my legs were shaking and my skin was tingle-y. I'm going to do my best to go at least 1x/week.

As it stands right now, I do boot camp on Monday and Friday, kettle bell on Tuesday and Thursday, and I try for a couple times a week swimming and cardio on the elliptical.  I really need to get past my reservations about some of the equipment and just jump.  I'd put off spin because I had worked it up to this big bad evil in my head.  And although it was hard, not bad in the way I thought it was going to be, IYKWIM?  I'm wanting nice weather so I can just go bike and run/walk outside.  I'm not where I want to be fitness-wise, but I am getting better.

I've had a loss every week since 1/12 (really before that, but that is when I officially started WW).  If I can keep losing at least 6 lbs a month, even with plateaus, I'll be ok.  Just really want to be at goal by Christmas. That is my gift to myself for 2012. :)

Weigh in day for me.  I lost 2 pounds.   So encouraging.  I have been very focused the past few days and I can really feel a difference.  I go to bed a bit hungry and wake up ready for breakfast.  Nothing uncomfortable, but I know that if I wasn't tracking I would be filling that slight hunger by eating after dinner which has been a long habit of mine.  Instead of snacking, I drink a big mug of tea or simply go to bed earlier.

This week will be a good one.  I would like to be down to 190 next week and then have a good bye party to the 190's.

Start date:  1-31-2012

Starting weight:  198

Current weight: 193

Goal weight:  150

Joyfulheart and Ruthiegirl, Congrats! That is great news.

Ruthiegirl, when I'm hungry at bedtime I eat 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese. It's one point. Or I'll eat a hard boiled egg for two points.

That is a good idea.  I'll pick some up next time I am shopping.  I have been needing a few more snack ideas and these are perfect.
