I'm wondering if that's why my weight has dropped more quickly this past week--because of the natural hCG in my system and because of the added progesterone (progesterone is a thyroid stimulator). I've gained 60 and 50 lbs with my boys, so I definitely need to maintain a fitness routine and food awareness!

Wow!!!!  Congrats.  joy.gif

Oh mamas, I am hanging my head in shame here.  This week with everyone home has been a whirlwind of fun days and trips for ice cream and family and friends and food....and more food....

We have one more family party today and then tomorrow is going to be a fresh start.

Happy Easter!

Next week I have a bunch of GI med testing/surgery set up and that is going to throw off everything - and then we're leaving for vacation at an all-inclusive where I'm guaranteed to put on at least 5 more!

I'm so sorry - just too much on my plate to help my team - please take me out :(

So sorry about your dad BSM... remember to take care of yourself and update us when you can.

Stegenrae! So excited for you! Congrats.

I am headed to an Easter brunch... so far I've not overeaten or had a speck of candy, but I think being outside my own house will do me in. I sent Cadbury eggs and other treats to my dd1 at college and didn't touch a thing. I banked on a little overeating so I walked/ran 18 miles so far this week and I've got a chance to head to the gym tonight as well.

I am going to have to work overnight today and be gone tomorrow for weigh in. So, i did it today rather than make everyone wait for a later comer. I was a bit nervous because my weight was so funky this week (going up when I was doing everything right!). Anyhow, thrilled, thrilled, thrilled to weigh in today because I am exactly 200 pounds! That's 2 more pounds I will never have again and I am SO SO SO close to starting to see the number 1 at the front of my number. Thrilled. Perfect way to start an overnight, crazy work week.

My goal was to be under 200 - so no reward yet. Hopefully next week! The only concrete thing I ever planned for a reward was my DH promised to go jogging with me if I got under 200. I like being able to run and have done it in the past but being over 200 I did not want to jog around my neighborhood and see people I know. My husband in very fit and so I asked him to promise to jog with me :)

Happy Easter to y'all.  Hope everyone had a great long weekend!

BSM - sorry to hear about all your trouble.  Wishing good health to you and your family.

On that note, IsaFrench has also decided to drop out of the challenge for personal reasons.

That is one member from each team.  It shouldn't really affect any stats, seeing as we are going on a percentage basis.

Claybear - congrats on reaching the magic number.

Where are all the check-ins, ladies?! Come on out of hiding...

Afm, 152 this morning.

I was hoping for another lb, but have had some sugary stuff just before bedtime the past couple days, so i guess that's why (and/or mild constipation). I felt like a lazy bum last night and did an ab workout at 8:30, so I am feeling pretty motivated. Just hafta figure out how to get a run in while dh is oot a couple days this week.

Let's go RED!

whew. you would not have believed the spread of sugar my mother put out for the grandchildren yesterday. i had nothing. there was nothing at all besides sugar. no water, no coffee, no fruit.

just about 8 bags of jelly beans and other candy, a dozen butter cream cupcakes, a lamb cake, three tubs of Edys ice cream, 2 boxes of bakery cookies, 2 trays of homemade cookies.

this after our church brunch... in which i ate only several bowls of fruit salad, 2 helpings of yogurt and a smallish portion of scrambled eggs.

that was it for me for the day. and thankfully curbed the upward trend that i was otherwise experiencing for the week.

hoping to go to squeeze in a trip to a park today where i can pull both my kids (35# and 25#) in a wagon up a hill for a mile... and further break through this plateau.

sorry I can't add the color in my browser

Wish I had more time to participate in the forum. I'm keeping up with the reading. Congrats stegenrae! And I'm so sorry to hear bluestatemama.

I've really cut out carbs. And it is going really well, I've gotten creative with new meal and snack ideas. I really think carbs are a huge piece in the puzzle of food addiction. After these few weeks, my desire to eat for non-hunger reasons has really gone away. I didn't even want chocolate this weekend. I have still been having beer and wine on the weekends. Which I really enjoy, I love nice wines and craft beers. But I find it is really putting a damper on my efforts. I'll be doing really well and then have a few drinks and the next morning I'm up like 4 pounds. So frustrating!

I feel like I've made some major psychological and emotional strides around food. And as a result my mood and relationships have improved. So I'm ready to step it up. I need to cut back the food intake a bit more and/or amp up the exercise. I had been in a terrible place of gaining 1-2 lbs per week for the last while. Now I've managed some maintenance. Onto losing now!

I won't let you down BLUE team! I won't let myself down either!!

Last week with spring break, it was not good on top of that my 2 kids got sick so I was doing a lot of sitting.  This week is a fresh start now that East er is over, I'm so glad I lost weight with so much going on last week and yesterday.  I can't wait to start up my workout plan again and eating right, instead of skipping meals and grabbing something on the go.

145  today. No change bums me out after all those miles I put in last week. I ate well all week until yesterday, and even that wasn't bad. I didn't have one speck of easter candy, I just ate a bit much at brunch. That was eggs, potatoes etc. Ah well, I really really need to get cracking on more running because walking takes too damn much time.

My first personal training session is today.

165 Not surprising. I am trying to figure out where to go from here. I know it is ttime to address my eating and plan breakfasts and lunches rather than fly by the seat of my pants. But my younger guy has been sleeping so lousy lately that I have so little energy and focus.

152 over here.  Like someone else said, it's a struggle just to maintain! Maybe it will help that I will not be doing any baking this week - last week was a lot of baking and though I gave almost all of it away, when there's even a slice nearby...

BSM, best wishes for good family times, and lots of healing for your dad.

174.5 this morning.

I'll take it! It's been an awful week for sleep for the whole family. I have heard that can really affect weight, and I'm feeling it. Haven't had the energy to really get out and exercise with the kids, and I think I've been eating more to keep awake!

Here's to a new week and here's praying my 4 yo DS gets over his little head cold and starts sleeping more than an hour at a time. I'm so tired. ZZZzzzzzzzzzz.

167.2 I am pretty excited about that number. I just started AF so felt like I would be up or the same if I was lucky. If I can have a good week this week and the water from AF goes away I feel like I could see a big loss.

ugh...I gained a little.  237.5  greensad.gif

But I am not surprised; last week we decided to take an unplanned trip. We have been here five days and have not been eating too well.  (Plus I stress eat when I need to fly.)  Our scale at this house may be a little off too (hopefully weighing in higher than the scale at home).  I have been swimming and planned to canoe and hike but one of the kids ended up sick the past few days.

Anyway, I am jumping in the pool to swim laps after I type this.  We will be home in a couple of days and I will get back on track.

Blue team...Sorry to let you down.

196.2 this morning.

I am SHOCKED to be down - I thought I would be lucky to maintain with all the birthday goodies.  I have mostly been focused on eliminating my problem foods thus far (sugar, cheese, breads) and I have really been sticking to it thus far, with the exception of my birthday.  I am surprised, because food and portion control are my ongoing weaknesses.  Usually I enjoy excersize, but don't see much change in the scale because I cheat on the food end.  So I am ready to amp up the workouts (I have just been walking) and start C25K this week, and alternate running days with a strength training video.  I am planning to start tomarrow as I am taking it easy today.  We decided we were sick of moving and stayed up till 3 am last night finishing off the move.  So today I will get some extra rest, and tomarrow I will hit the eliptical at 6 am!

214!   This is the first time I've lost 2 lbs in a week.   It looks like exercising for over an hour each time is the key for me. Also wearing hockey gear adds extra weight training. Lol

147.8 for the 2nd week in a row. I guess it's better than gaining but I am a bit down since I walked A TON this week (I have no choice.. carless) but I have to admit, my eating wasn't spectacular.

Next Saturday is Easter part 2 with my mom and brother but it's a much smaller get together so much LESS food and since it's at my house, I control what's available to eat so I am aiming for fruit and veggie trays, low fat ham and very few carbs!

BSM just wanted to give you a big virtual *hug*
