We are glad you found this thread. We are a group of Mamas trying to get back in shape postpartum. We have varying amounts of weight to lose and and are trying a variety of strategies to do so. Welcome.

Subbing.  I haven't weighed in in awhile, so I'll try to do that this week.  I probably don't need to stay on this thread anymore, since I've passed my goal and I don't know what to set as a new one.  I think I'm going to stick around as encouragement to get around to exercising and toning!  Now that spring is here, I want to add more walks to my days.  

 

How is everyone else? I'd love to see some more check-ins!

Hi mylilmonkeys! I am down to 168.4. I am coming up on 2 years postpartum and wondering if I should leave this thread but, when it really gets going, it can be so motivating. I hope everyone checks in too.

I am letting this thread go. I am hoping one of the new postpartum mamas will pick it up. Weight loss has been slow but steady for me. I am well below my pre-pg weight and my baby turns 2 this month. I no longer feel the pp thread is right for me. Good luck mamas!

I was wondering if anyone ever took your offer of this thread pacificbliss. I see that it is pretty dead. Maybe it is just time to let it go as you said. I was really surprised when my DD was born. I had told my DDC several times to join me over here and the response I got then wasn't very enthused. I wonder if ladies are just too busy with their babies or maybe don't want the accountability. Then there are other women who effortlessly shed the weight almost over night it seems. I'm jealous of them, it always seems to take me a full year. 

 

I want to thank you for carrying this thread and being a big part of my weightloss journey.

wish I could check in with a motivating update but I am eating a lot these days and exercising minimally. I got Jillian Michaels 30 day shred BUT I am working on healing this hip injury first.  I really can't do a lot of exercise till it heals but I am doing internal strengthening excersised from my physical therapist.  and she said in a coupe of months I may be okay to work out without triggering this pain in my hip. So I forgive myself for my slowness in it-. I am also doing more yoga- almost every day for about 20 minutes- so I am happy about that. I hope to try Jillian soon and stick with it- I am feeling very heavy! I Was 145 but I wouldn't be surprised if I were more now. I just have a big appetite lately. anyway- still gonna do it some day I know. At least I am working towards it by healing my injury so I can work out more.
