144.

I'm surprised at even a pound lost because I had cheese all weekend which I don't normally eat, and pigged out on M&Ms. Man those little suckers are yummy.

191.6 for me today.  I have had a few slip ups this week so I was surprised to have a big loss.  But I did stick to my runs (and evening walks withthe double stroller), and I am SO excited to really be running again!

216      May I have a pass this week?  I'm on day 2 of AF. Hopefully next week I'll show a loss of least the gain from AF. Unfortunatley, I'm down to just walking this week because of my neck injury. :(

Not so good despite eating within my calories last week...151.5 (sry, can't bold from my phone). I honestly think it's because I've been having so many more carbs since I've been having tooth problems from an abscess & carbs are so much softer than things like salad! greensad.gif

Inexplicably - or rather, explained by freaking hormones - I am up up up this week. So frustrating since it was my best week of healthy eating since we started, and I had good exercise too...

Anyway, I hate to say this, but it's the truth:

Also, as a reward for being under 200 pounds I went through all of my clothing and I got rid of a huge garbage bag worth of clothing that is all too big for me. It felt wonderful and was an apt reward for the milestone.

Way to go claybear . I hope to be on your heels soon. A little loss while on holidays . I thought I would do better because of all the hiking but the icecream with the kiddies quickly negate that.

208. Onward go more progress .

175.6 for me.  Up a tad, (Sorry BLUE team!) which is disappointing considering that I was 174.2 only a few days back.  I have been super strict, and can't figure out why things are moving at a snail's pace now.  My knees are too screwy for the C25K at the moment, so I am starting a cardiobox class tomorrow, and doing another Friday.  I am really hoping that is going to ramp up the weight loss.

Converting to pounds is so depressing for me, by the way.  Like today, my gain was a measly 300g, but when I convert to pounds, it is 0.7, which sounds like soooooo much more.

ETA: Congrats on the achievement CLAYBEAR!

187.2 for me. So happy it's down.

My MIL offered to send me an aromatherapy inhaler to use when I have cravings - especially for sweets. Let's hope it works! Even if it's just a distraction and makes me more conscious of my snacking that's a good thing.

Anybody have fasting or cleanse recommendations? I feel like garbage and cannot shake it after my weekend of eggs, cheese, and m$ms. Dang. I am bloated and grumbly and yuck. I did not feel this bed even after my vacation.

Ideas?

Sorry can't bold on my iPad. Totally frustrated, this low carb thing isn't working for me. I need more accountability, back to tracking weight watchers points. That was the only thing that worked. It only stopped working because I stopped tracking, I stopped tracking because I kept wanting to eat more than my allotted points. I also joined a gym today, they have lots of classes that I can do.

I really serious about this and so sick of floating around the same 5 pounds. I need to start actually moving towards my goal.

I really thought I was trying really hard. But I guess just following my instincts on this one isn't enough, I need to record everything.

BFM: Also, Vermontgirl has pulled out.

BB: no ideas, sorry.  Never done anything like that before.

Dida: I stopped tracking my calories for a little while too, and have had to start again.  I bought kitchen scales on the weekend, too.

AFM: Down a full pound from yesterday, which is much more like it.  Yesterday's weight really had me worried!  Off to my boxing class tonight, so kind of expecting not to be able to move my arms much about this time tomorrow!

i fast after 5 pm every day. and -- lately -- i've upped it to fasting after 3 pm. it gives your digestion a chance to clear. it gives your digestion a rest. it gives you an opportunity to feel *hungry* overnight, which -- in my experience of losing 43 pounds so far -- is when weight loss happens.

AND it makes food taste delicious in the morning, which is when i make sure i eat, hungry or not. i load up on high protein good foods like low sodium turkey or fried eggs, plus fruit salad, regular salad, oatmeal, etc. get in my heavy eating first thing in the morning, then taper it off by noon, and finish completely by mid-afternoon.

ps: i don't eat cheese or bread, severely limit sweets...

Buzzer - In my pre-baby healthy days I was doing a cleanse/fast about every 6 months.  It made me feel really good, and helped with the general yuck feelings you tend to get after a bout of junk food eating (also pretty rare for me in those days).  My doctor recommended not doing anything like that while pregnant or lactating, so it has been off limits for the last 4 years of reproductive crazyness.  What I did was V-8 (regular sodium) and water for 48 hours+daily multivitamin as usual. I would drink about 12-14 oz V-8 at meal times, and before bed (so 4 times daily) for two days, and as much water as I could get down (between 3 and 4 liters per day).  I would never do this for more than 2 days in a row, because it is pretty extreme, but it really helps!  I have a friend who does a similar protocol acouple times per year, but she makes her own veggie juice with fresh veggies.

Today I rode my bike to the thrift store and donated a garbage bag of clothing I "grew out of". It was very nice!

Thanks Barefootmama, I think I could do this. I haven't had a V-8 in years, but I do like it. Probably had it last with vodka and horseradish in it.

I've been curious about this, why you do it and how that works for cooking for others. How long have you been doing this? Do you consider it very low calorie? Even now sometimes I am awakened at night by hunger and can't get back to sleep... but if I Stick To It and Don't Cheat that phase goes away.

How do you handle meals if you cook for/eat with others?

This week is going much better than last week.  I have already lost a pound!!  Monday night was bad with my son's well baby check up right after work and then having to take my DH to get his car since we had to get new tires put on it.  So I ended up taking the kids to McDonalds to take our dinner home.  I did do good and only got a grilled chicken ranch BLT sandwich and got no fries.

Yesterday I took the kids for a walk and the park after dinner which felt good and then this morning my son finished nursing around 5:30.  Instead of going back to sleep for 30 minutes, I got up and did some push ups, sit ups and some other excersies for 15 minutes before I got ready for work.  That felt really good.  I think I'm going to start doing that more often now.

Thanks for your thoughts ladies. As many of you know, this has been the most horrific week of my life. Despite what I am going through, I still need support to help keep me healthy by eating right and exercising. I'm late weighing in, at 147, down two pounds from last week. I cant say I lost it in a healthy way, but my drive to eat was zero for the first several days. Now Im trying to keep myself from eating my stress and sadness. Adding weight to my body is NOT going to help me heal and I know it. Ill just get more depressed. I have to stay active and keep moving. I've started my c25k back up after 6 days of no exercise and it felt really good- kept me very centered. I've drank a ridiculous amount of beer and bourbon in the past week, so I havent been healthy at all. Im going to try and avoid that this week. ♥

Dearest Adaline'smama -

We are indeed all aching for you in our hearts. Any way you want to make it through this time, I'll support. It is certainly true that exercise supports emotional heath - not to hide grief but make us able to survive it. It is also true that in times of great stress and heart pain, our body needs a different level of nourishment. If I were your best friend in real life, I'd be making you soft warm nourishing meals with lots of good fats, and taking you for long walks in nature.

Many blessings to your healing process.

I can't say it any better than LCBMAX.

Adaline's Mama - you and your boy have been in my thoughts all week.  You sound very aware, and I think that having something to focus on, and not isolating yourself from everyone are both really good choices at this time.  What you need to do in order to get through may change in the coming weeks, but we will support whatever you choose to do.

Much love to your family.
