Just joined 3 days ago...50+lbs to lose. Anyone else in the same boat?

Not quite yet, but I'll be joining after this baby makes his/her arrival!  I used WW after #3 and lost 60 lbs, felt great.  I have no idea how much I'll need to lose this time around but I'm thinking around 60 lbs again, maybe a bit more.

I joined in October 2011 and lost 30 pounds in 22 weeks. I thought it was great, got me to my prepregnancy weight just in time to get pregnant. Definitely stick with it and you will do well!

I lost 75 pounds years ago and joined and quit several times in the last 3 years since my DD was born. I feel like joining again but don't want to eat ANY processed foods and restrict calories like I did before-- I feel like it wasn't healthy. I also have thyroiditis and hypothyroid symptoms so I'm afraid to join and spend weeks not losing. Any of you have these concerns? I really miss the simplicity and being able to eat what you want for the most part.

HI there - It's been awhile since your original post: how's it going?


I first did WW about 9 years ago and lost 50 pounds - just in time, as a PP pointed out, to get pregnant! LOL. Lost all the baby weight within a year of giving birth, doing nothing special but nursing on demand. But when DS1 was about 2.5 and nursing less frequently, I promptly gained about 17 pounds. Back to WW I went, and it came off, and stayed off, until I got pregnant with DS2. Exactly the same scenario ensued, and here I am again. We now live in a rural area, and I have a job that requires frequent travel, so I'm doing WW exclusively online. I do miss the meetings, but so far so good - I'm down 4.8 pounds in two weeks. Yay!


I had forgotten, though, how you can feel hungry ALL the time in the first week, and still uncomfortably frequently in the second week. My consistent loss is keeping my morale up, but I definitely struggle throughout the day not to give in to a peanut-butter sandwich...


What's your go-to healthy treat? Would love some ideas!
