IsaFrench, let the last week be in the past and push on to the new week!  You can get as close to 70kg as you can by the time you see your doctor.

woodchick, great job!  It seems like you lost weight, maintain for a week, then lose more.  Slow and steady wins the race.  Keep it up.

newmamalizzy, what exercise can you commit to this week to help make a positive change at the scale next week?

Valid28, what are some of the things that helped you lose the most weight before? Can you add those to your week this week to make a bigger difference for next weeks weigh in?

MZEMILY, way to go! Keep doing whatever made the difference this week!

C is for Cookie, this is another week.  If you are feeling better, then add back in those strategies that have helped you lose weight in the past. On to better days ahead!

Today I reminded myself just how helpful writing down what I eat has been - even if I don't particularly pay attention to all the values of calories, fat, carbs, and protein.  I did good and tracked all my meals today.

I am using Weight Watchers 360 plan and they have this thing about thinking about routines that support weight loss - the three I am going to focus on are eat breakfast, eat vegetables or fruits with every meal or snack, and wear my activity tracking device (an accelerometer) every day.

I want to get back down to 245 pounds like when I started this challenge.

Yes, thank you for the support. How will I get in more exercise this week.... It may happen naturally. In normal weeks I get a moderate amount as a matter if course. Last week I started doing Whole30 and it trumped exercise for a few days. Then we all got sick. So the plan for this week is a few good stroller walks and rebounder time every day.

Okay, I have tracked what I am eating for breakfast, packed my lunch and tracked that, and I am committed to getting more exercise today.

What are your goals for today?

goal of the day : look up this thread so as not to fall into eating something i would not be too happy about later on

have a nap

buy fruits and veggies at the market

walk the kids here and there and everywhere for their sport activities

remember that tomorrow is another day ...

.... + finally ask a question ... why are some lines yellow on the table ?

Today, I want to:

drink TONS of water

a healthy soup for lunch (I have homemade tomato ready to re-heat)

munch on lots of raw carrots and broccoli before even thinking about hitting the tortilla chips or crackers

:)

IsaFrench, the yellow lines are the individuals I haven't heard from on a given week.  Glad you found the thread and it helped encourage you. Having a nice selection of fruits and veggies to keep you eating good things with lots of fiber and water content to satisfy you.

emma, I hope the water, soup, and raw carrots and broccoli did the trick.

Last night I was feeling pretty sick. Woke up at 2:30 a.m. coughing. Didn't go to work this morning and went to see the doctor. He said I likely have a virus and that my lungs were clear even though i am coughing a lot and really achy. He said to take some ibuprofen and cough medicine, rest, and drink lots of fluids. I will be going to bed early tonight.

I need to track the food I ate today.  Ate breakfast later than normal because I slept in before going to the doctor.  The sun is out and I think I will go for a short walk.

a type of mono-fast to rest the gut or whatever ....

(and to feel better by thinking i'm doing something "good" to my body ..... i need the re-inforcement ...)

Sounds like a good plan to have a meal of just fruits or veggies. Maybe try that as your evening meal a couple times a week.

So, a couple things have seemed to started up my loss finally.  I got back off grains (90+% for 3 weeks now), dairy (as a trial but I'm going to stay off 90% as well.  I feel loads better and my allergies are better and Soren spits up much less), and legumes.  I'm not losing fast, but I'm starting to see a definite shift towards losing instead of the stasis I saw before.  I'm also really ok with it taking a while since I just had a freaking baby.

I also am now taking L Glutamine and more B vitamins and that has done WONDERS for my alcohol cravings and food munchies.  I have actually had to remind myself that I am nursing a baby that has had some nursing issues and I need to eat enough to keep up my supply.  This has never ever been my problem, just the opposite.

And I'm losing centimeters, if not inches. So yay!

IsaFrench, onto better eating today!

Last night I just had the hankering for milk - drank 3 glasses.  It was crazy. Making better choices today.

thanks for the encouragement !

i did better on Sunday food wise + was un expectedly offered a ride to the swimming pool so had a good work out in the afternoon

today i'm back to where i was 2 weeks ago, 100 grams less even when calculating in kg, so am rather pleased

(except that i doubt i'll loose 1.2 kg in 3 and a half days .... my appointment is on Thursday)

at least i'm more in touch with how i feel when i eat this or that

and i can see now that over the weeks, i HAVE lost weight so it's encouraging

156.9 lb

(71.2 kg or 11 stones 2 .... i need to revise maths when i count weight the english way LOL, it's 20 per cent of 14 pounds, not 2 pounds or 2 ounces or whatever .... am glad i can find answers to my questions so easily with the internet ...)

As expected, I have maintained 216 this week.  I'd love to get over this on/off cycle, but it seems it is what my body want.

Nice work, IsaFrench and Lilacvioletiris!

147.2

It's so hard to stick to this diet! It's hard to remember to eat at the right times and then to STOP eating! Also, making a lot of different veggies, soups and dairy-free smoothies is taking a lot of time. *sigh* Must push onward!

170.6! With some effort I hope to post in the 160's next week. There is a lot of good progress being made here! I'm definitely more motivated because of the accountability. This week I'm going to transition my de-stressing beverage from wine to herbal tea. When I have a really hard shift I really want alcohol but I know that is not a healthy outlet for stress.

I will take that one pound lost. Woot. lol. smile.gif

So, I set my alarm to go off at 6:00 but instead it went off at 7:30 this morning. banghead.gif

It's the only time I can exercise before I go off to school so I guess I have another day off from exercising. Until tomorrow! lol. I made sure to fix my alarm this time.
