My period started the morning of my surgery. My rings are tight, so I know I'm holding on to water weight. I expect a drop in weight at next weigh in.
Surgery went well. Thanks for all the well wishes. smile.gif I'm hobbling around in a boot. Hopefully, I will be done with it and back wearing an ankle brace by next week. smile.gif

Glad everything went well Amanda. One day at a time for recuperation. Being able to use both feet well will be a great relief I am sure for you.

 

How is everyone doing with their exercise this week? What type of exercise have you done to maybe mix it up a bit?

With no gym membership and small children who literally climb on me during DVD workouts, I'm just sticking with stroller power-walks and not mixing things up in any way. Frankly, I'm amazed to be accomplishing THAT much. lol.gif

Could do better lilac, but hubby and I were both kind of sick the past couple of days so it didn't help. But all that soup really helped the number go down lol. Just came back from a jog, I am sweaty but feel great :) Thx for the encouragements! How you doin'?

Sticking with yoga daily, and threw in some heavy gardening.  Still trying to get in walks, but I've been crazy busy.  This week is especially hard.  Will keep working on it!  My yoga sessions have been wonderful!  I mix those up a bit for fun, and I tend to get kind of intense with one thing and need to back off and give my body dome rest.  

 

Today, I'm having to stick with soup and salad, after indulging a bit yesterday while I was going going going.

Sigh. I'm having a hard time getting into it this time round. I've added daily playground walks, so a bit more exercise, but I'm really struggling with diet. In theory, I'd like to eat more moderately than the very successful but intense Whole30. But...I just can't seem to BE moderate, so my diet rules keep changing. I really want to succeed because this is the point where my weight loss always gets stuck. I'm trying to use this challenge as incentive to push through the doldrums this time.

Turquesa, I updated your weights.  I am glad you are continuing on with your forward movement and that you are enjoying your stroller power walks. Movement is an accomplishment!

Jaxy, I am doing pretty good so far into this pregnancy. I have to be careful how much salt I eat otherwise I am getting really puffy/retain water and that feels uncomfortable. I am hungry about every three hours, except when I sleep. Can't wait for next Tuesday when hopefully my Dr. will release me from only walking restrictions because I want to join a prenatal swim class at the YMCA.

SweetSilver, variety is the spice of life! Sounds like you are enjoying yourself with your different yoga sessions.

newmamalizzy, all of us are here to help each other. I am glad you recognize that pushing through your doldrums is one of the reasons you need support.  Are you writing down what you eat? That may help you to see trends in time of day, type of food, activity, that might help you see what routines you may need to change to be moderate in your eating.

katelove, enjoy the extra time with DH and your chance to do a little extra/different yoga.

I'm not sure what to do... my scale is just done for because it has been acting crazy and giving obscure numbers. Apparently, I was 88.2 pounds and after I reset it, it said I was 107 (nice try, scale...) I mean, it's great that the scale thinks I am some skinny minny but.... I am not. lol. I actually have some muscle and honestly, I have come a long way to something that I comfortable in (I wasn't comfortable in my body last year and was fatigued all the time)

 

What should I do? Should I take a break from the challenge for a week and find a scale that actually works? Or take a break altogether from the challenge and try for the next challenge? I am not sure if I will find a "good" scale within a week so that's why I am asking... BUT I will still be exercising/eating well because I still have a 5k to run in May.

stuck at 158  ....

have managed a long walk as well as swimming yesterday

have plans this week to try and fit more swimming and walking (if all goes well with the planning)

baught myself a new one piece swimming costume on Saturday .... those mirrors ... a good reminder to watch portion sizes !!!!

i did rather well yesterday food wise (but not at all on Saturday evening) and am hoping to keep up with it during the week and to see better results by next Monday !!!!!

C is for cookie, I will consider this your weigh in and just copy last week's weight over.  See if you can get a new scale in the next week or so and keep up your exercise.

 

katelove, sorry your weight loss isn't quite what you were hoping.  Sometimes it takes a couple weeks to catch up with the weigh in.  Keep up your exercising 4 times a week, watch your salt consumption especially on the weekend before weigh in, and wait and see what next week brings.

 

IsaFrench, you have a good attitude about exercise.  Keep persevering!

I'm 168.0 this morning. I've been going to the gym after two weeks off and doing a lot of yard work on top of 13 hour shifts where I usually don't sit. Also my TSH level is down from 28 to 11 which is an improvement but still too high so my Synthroid was increased to 200 mcg. I'm disappointed to report no change, 213.

 

This has been a tough week- a death in our very close family circle (in addition to the Boston stuff) has led to late nights, meals in the car and not getting up at my usual 5:30 to work out.  I did fit a few workouts in at abnormal (for me) times which I think kept me from gaining.  So that's good.

 

Here's to getting back on track this week!

No change.  My workouts this past week were VERY inconsistent due to uncooperative children.  I'm just glad I didn't gain due to 2 birthdays this week, including pizza, McDonals, and ice cream cake lol.gif  I'm determined to make it work this week.  We're heading out camping w/ DS1's Cub Scout pack on Friday/ Saturday/ Sunday, so there will definitely be some exercise over the weekend.

179.4. Yikes, creeping back up! Although, it's honestly not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I tried a couple of new recipes this week and they were delicious!

 

I go to a family reunion on Friday, so I won't be here to report next week. Sorry team! I'm hoping to have a good number in two weeks. This vacation offers lots of opportunities to be active, so as long as I'm reasonable about my food choices and don't just mindlessly stuff myself, I should be ok. We shall see!

149 here. Am I too late? I'm so sorry! I totally spaced. DH & I have started a new eating/exercise program and its been a lot of work. Add that to the fact that my boss is out of town and I'm running the business while he's away. I've got lots of great excuses. Anyway, hoping my body is going through a recomposition and I will start losing before next week.

203.5 Didn't get much exercise last week. Yesterday, I got the stitches out and I'm cleared to go back to physical therapy. Also, out of the boot and wearing ankle brace again. No skating for 4 more weeks. My doctor wants to make sure holes in my ankle are completely healed.
I start PT again on Wednesday. smile.gif Soon I'll be walking again. Yay!!
