I managed to keep a good diet until last night. DBF made us dinner (italian steak, mushrooms, and alfredo) and I drank 2 cups of wine (not wine glasses, but it was in big jumbo mugs) 

The wine was a big mistake. lol. I was drunk just from the 2 cups. I guess I am lightweight when it comes to alcohol (I don't drink often). The alfredo had some milk in it which I am lactose intolerant so that made me sick too. 2 cups of wine + alfredo = puke. I woke up at 3 am and felt my stomach aching and the room was spinning. Next thing I know, I am puking up my dinner in 3 separate rounds. greensad.gif 

 

I was still nauseous this morning so DBF took me to Sonic to get some carbs in me to maybe absorb the extra wine and settle the stomach acid.

Sorry—we had a storm yesterday and my internet was not working.  I was 142.4 yesterday.  I blame the gain on water retention in preparation for aunt Flo’s arrival today. L

Weighing in at 213 again this week.

 

I can't complain as I have not been trying very hard.  This has been a difficult month for many stressful reasons and it's just the way it is.

 

Apologies to my team!  I leave in a few days on a two week road trip, so I don't suppose my numbers will be very good, if I'm even able to weigh in at all.  :(

210.5 Just started Thyroid medicine. Also Chinese medicine to balance out my hormones. My practitioner said it would take awhile to feel better because I'm so depleted. Finally, back to hockey classes and getting back in shape to play league hockey in 3 weeks. Hopefully, will feel better and have more energy by then. Right now, I'm exhausted all the time.

katelove, you have lost at least according to my calculations. I missed you for week 6 but will repost after tomorrow's weighins are recorded.

 

SweetSilver, the last weigh in will be July 15 so there are 3 weighins left.  I would consider a pound not gained as a win for the summer. So much happens that sometimes losses don't happen when you want them to but not gaining is a victory as well and when the losses catch up with your good habits, you will see good things.

 

Looks like team yellow has pulled ahead just a bit this last week.  Hoping that tomorrow's weighin will be a good one for all.

Thanks for the encouragement Lilacvioletiris :-) I'm not sure which week it was but I will have one weight missing this round because I was in hospital for 3 days, including Monday weigh-in day.

Glad we have three more to go. Hopefully I can redeem myself still :-)

164.4lbs.  Not a huge loss, but I wasn't expecting one for this week.  We had our church's vacation bible school this week and I volunteered.  That meant it was sandwiches for dinner every night and my workouts were limited.  This past weekend, 3 of my kids came down w/ stomach bugs and were puking, so my workouts were cut short.

Well, this makes no sense. I cut out dairy and meat and went back to raw vegan for this week. I ate only fruits and vegetables until 1500 calories and kept it under 100g carbs a day (I'm usually under 60g of carbs). I was afraid that it will make me gain weight, and unfortunately, it did. I'm going to go back to the way I was originally eating and make it low-dairy. I don't know what it is but fruits just doesn't agree with me. Strawberries and blueberries are the only fruits that don't make me bloat.

 

How do the other raw vegans do it? headscratch.gif

 

PS I was a raw vegan before 2 years ago so it's not like it was my first time. I'm just rather confused.

I was told that fruits have a lot of sugar (good one, but like everything, too much of it is not good and will make you gain weight!) If you want to do that then eat more vegetables than fruits.

IMO, although I am far from being a professional, weight gain from fruits is not the kind that stick to your ribs, for example. How do you feel? Do you feel fat and unhealthy or is the scale making you feel that way?
It might also be all the water in the fruits, which is not bad I think, but will show on the scale!

142. I doubt I'll be seeing a loss before the challenge ends. I'm okay with that, but sorry to my team! Getting to my goal weight may take a while longer than I originally thought. My legs have improved so much and I'm proud of the effort I've been putting in. I've made some major lifestyle changes and I'm proud of that too. I will get there.
