Hello friends!!!

This thread for encouragement in getting in a daily workout. It helps to make yourself accountable if you list your workout.

My goal this month is 1500 minutes of cardio. Your goal might be 500 minutes of fresh air.....whatever works for you.

6/1 - 45 minute easy run.

I'll go ahead and start.  I think I've avoided this thread because the "1000 minutes" seemed optimistic and I would be left in the dust by you crazy mamas orngtongue.gif!  But I really need to motivate myself, so I will happily eat your dust and wave the banner for anyone else who wants to bring up the (sizeable--ahem!) rear.

 

So far, I'm just thinking of exercising, but the day has just started.

SweetSilver, don't be scared of the number! On my first challenge in March I did half of what I did in May! I like it here because you really get to follow what you're doing. Try to see it as a journal rather than a competition! And have fun :)

I sped through my yoga to get outside before working in the garden became too hot.  The 20 minutes is kind of a fudge.  I was out there for 90 minutes, and some of that was sweaty, hard work, but a lot of that was easy, too, so I distilled the time down to about a 20 minute equivalent.

SweetSilver!  That is exactly what I do....Any time I put weeding or hoeing on the list, I usually am out there for a lot longer - but I feel bad about putting it down since it is not cardio.  I am always conflicted about whether to use it towards my goal or not......

If I'd put every exercise I do towards my goal.. I'd put lifting boxes, going up and down the ladder with heavy objects, etc from work hehe

Such a gorgeous day!  Spread my yoga mat outside for my session.  It was beautiful, except I have to fist scan for bunny guts and parts.  There were none apparently, but I did spend the entire time doing ujaya (sp?) breathing with the eau de morte in the air.  Yes, I have a cat.
