Yay Jaxy!  Keep up the great effort!  The food prep makes life so much easier doesn't it? 

 

I'm 143 this morning!  I'm down 0.5, and I worked really hard for that half pound!  It's really s-l-o-w as I've been loosing weight for the last year, so I'm not going to fret about it. 


Giving Love serves as a wonderful reminder that we already have an abundance of Love within, "it is in giving that we receive."

157.5  Very happy to finally see a considerable loss this challenge.  These 1.9lbs this week was through diet mostly.  The babe is still waking a lot throughout the night and napping terribly, so my workouts are inconsistent.

Speaking of sugar........ I did terrible yesterday :( A mix of "reward" for that great week and emotional eating I think.... It was my boss' birthday and there was a bunch of sweets. And at home we are in a pretty bad place financially so we only buy the necessary (which is good for my diet), so when I saw free awesome sweets in abundance, I just caved and over did it. I'm not proud of me... But all I can do is make up for it this week. And hopefully the money situation will get better... This week maybe... We'll see.

thanks for your kind words ... am hoping to go swimming by myself tomorrow (too many cooked breakfasts and unlimited buffets in the evenings during the holidays ..)

also, got myself a book about the latest UK diet (started as a "science experiment"  TV program during the Olympics in August 2012)

the 5:2 diet

for two days of the week, have a 200 cal breakfast and a 300 cal evening meal and fast for a 10 to 14 hours window during the day (= no snacks and no lunch, just drink a lot),

for the other 5 days of the week, eat as you are used to eating

 

the 500 cal per dayonly  is a 75% deficit on the "normal" ration (1500 + 1500 = 3000 cal deficit per week, should help loose half a pound or a pound per week, depending on activity levels ...)

 

but just 2 days of the week and not two days in a row so it feels "do-able", not to deprived (one can fantisize in the afternoon of the fasting day ...about food choices for the next day !!!!!)

 

the fasting window of 10 to 14 hours window during the day is supposed to help the cells switch to a "repairs mode" (apparently some studies have been conducted with cancer patients, in which Chemo was found less invasive on healthy cells when approached in a fasting state ..)

apparently, after a few months of just doing that 2 days per week, the body sort of regulates itself and cravings disapear, appetence for junk food is supposed to disminish = better food choices are made .....

 

i'm giving it a try anyway .... we'll see how it goes !

169.5 , down about 2 lbs and reaching my goal of getting in the 160s!

 

I'm glad of course but something is weird. To the point that I had to weigh a second time lol. I lost 2 lbs but didn't exercise nearly as much (was sick half the week). I did work really hard at work. And we've been broke so I've been eating beans, brown rice and fish. No snacking. Some sweets that I made out of what we had which is buckwheat, quinoa, millet, flax seed flour. I guess diet is more than I thought! I always thought I coudln't lose weight without a lot of exercise but I might have been wrong!

 

We'll see how this week goes!
