pleased with my progress for once !

Jaxy's Avatar Jaxy 07:28 AM 09-09-2013

169.1 down .4 lol. Was down to 168 this week but I guess last night's snacking erased it all (or hopefully it's just the sodium and tomorrow I'll be back down there?) Anyway no big deal! It has been a f*cked up month of August, still not completely back to normal, so I take what I can.

Lost 6.6 lbs this challenge for a total of 23 lbs since April! Yay! At the end of the next challenge I'd like to be able to say that I lost 30 lbs. But that's another story :Sheepish

FillingMyQuiver's Avatar FillingMyQuiver 10:20 AM 09-09-2013

No change from last week, 156.6lbs.

Need to really think about whether I'm going to participate in the next challenge.  My 7mo is teething and her naps are all over the place leaving me with rough sleep at night and inconsistent workouts.

I do have a 10 day beach vacation in 5 weeks and I'd really like to be at my goal by then (another 6.5-11.5lbs to go depending on how I'm feeling).

207. Yay!
gooseberry's Avatar gooseberry 12:02 PM 09-09-2013

205.

I have mixed feelings about how I did in this challenge.  On the one hand, I'm glad that I'm exercising again.  I was very faithful to fitting in my four workouts, even though this is the worst time of year for me (teacher).  And, I did lose 4 pounds.  On the other hand, I feel like I worked harder than 4 pounds.  I'll have to start taking a closer look at my diet, now that I know I can fit the exercise in.

I'm back for the next round.  When do we start?

Is there another challenge lined up? I didn't see anything.
Jaxy's Avatar Jaxy 09:56 PM 09-09-2013

Usually she starts a new thread a  few days after the end of the finished challenge and people have a week or so to "register", so we kind of have a week off haha. But of course you can keep going to lose more weight.

CookiePie's Avatar CookiePie 05:35 AM 09-10-2013

Ok thanks Jaxy!  I'll keep my eye out for the new thread!

137.8, for a total of 9 lbs lost, yay! My goal was 7 pounds, so I am super happy.

What is a healthy weight range for a breastfeeding, small framed, 5'4" mama? I'm feeling good about where I am now, but I really want to get down into the 120s and fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans (that fit a year ago).
nobodymove's Avatar nobodymove 08:24 PM 09-10-2013

135.8

The individual winner this round is from the blue team: TwilightJoy with a 6.13% loss!

Preliminary results with two red team members not having reported for this week (and they usually do so I am waiting to make the call on the team challenge "winner")

Final Results for the Blue team

Here is the link for the new challenge http://www.mothering.com/community/t/1389767/8-week-healthy-weight-loss-challenge-version-11-enrolling-through-sept-18-starts-sept-16-ends-nov-4

TwilightJoy, check out this BMI calculator at http://www.webmd.com/diet/calc-bmi-plus to get an idea of a healthy range. It looks like from 108 pounds to 145 pounds would be a healthy range for you so somewhere in the 120s as a goal weight sounds like a good place to be, but this calculator looks at a few other factors too.

I honestly think it was giving up dairy. Which for this cheese (and cream cheese and sour cream) lover was very difficult. But that's the only change that I did, so I think it helped the pounds drop!
