I also had a very delicious healthy meal : mixed greens with red bell pepper, red onion, bean sprouts, organic salami and goat cheese with lil hemp oil hmmm

 

Today... is not the best day. Woke up to a pulled muscle in my butt, weird trigger finger, then biked to the grocery store with DS in his bike seat, the bike got stolen... SUX!

 

Anyway, still managed a little exercise!

4/1  -  125 minutes total.....60 minute solid weight lifting and then 60 minutes climbing stairs (5.6 miles) at the gym.  Light stretching)

4/2  -  60 minute run includes 5 minute stretch

4/3  -  40 minutes of full body exercises

4/4  -  not sure if I"m doing anything today.....It's only 1 pm.

4/5  -  70 minutes in the gym - 60 cardio and then only 10 weights before the I was interrupted by my family.  As usual  ;-)

4/6  -  50 minutes running the trails with hubby.  We ran and then walked a little checking out new neighborhood construction

4/7  -  100 minutes in the gym - 60 minutes on the treadmill and 40 minutes weights

60 mins walk on treadmill.  meant to go outside with the double stroller, but my older daughter came home from school "sick"  (aka she's sitting on the couch playing video games and seems just fine...)

taking the morning off to do nothing.  i have a doctor's appointment this afternoon.  i'll likely be weighed there.  hopefully i'll see some change, i feel like i've been working so hard for it.

Thanks. I am SO happy!  i lost 10 lbs in the last 3 weeks... wooooot!  i've cleaned up my diet, been exercising alot.  plus, i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (which makes you tend to gain weight), and was put on meds 3 weeks ago.  my thyroid levels are now in the "normal" range... i think it's really helping the weight come off.  i doubt i'll be able to keep up this rate of weight loss, but i'm so happy to be off to a good start!

That's great! I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, too, towards the end of 2012 and even though the doctor upped my dose of levothyroxine last year it's really slow going losing weight because I'm also taking psych meds, so sometimes I feel like it's an uphill battle and the meds are probably working against each other.

meds suck sometimes, huh.  i'm shocked that my TSH came down so quickly.  two weeks before my blood draw, i was at 6.9   today i'm at 2.5!   and on such a tiny dose... .05 per day.  i really thought it would take several months of tinkering with my dose to get it sorted out.  i do have all sorts of hypo symptoms though, including the weight gain.  i've been slowly gaining over the last ~4 yrs or so.  who knows when my thyroid started going out of whack.   i'm also taking 1 tsp of powdered sea vegetables in my morning smoothie.  apparently the extra iodine is supposed to help hypothyroidism... and it's working for me so far.  i can dig out the brand if you'd like :D

Yes, it is alot, i totally wasn't expecting it. i think fixing up my thyroid led to most of that loss.  the sea veg. powder i take is called Schinoussa, i have the one in the green bottle (they make several varieties, this one specifically says thyroid/weight loss on it).  it's pricey (i think i paid $45), but you only take 1 tsp at a time, i think there are 60+ servings in the bottle.  it's a blend of a bunch of different sea veggies.  i put it in my morning smoothies, i don't even taste it (i hate anything even remotely "fishy" tasting).

25 minute walk, mile around the yard before breakfast + 50 minutes of mulching before lunch = 75 + 825/1,000
75 minutes - I finished the bags of mulch! - after lunch and watered plants + 825 = 900/1,000

 

I also take a tablespoon of coconut oil twice a day for my thyroid and hopefully my metabolism.

Half an hour of picking up sticks - 30 + 940 = 970/1,000

Third mile and more walking = 30 + 970 = 1,000/1,000 :D

I will post more later if my bike doesn't squeak or croak when I try it after my children go to bed; I sprayed it with WD-40 again.

15 mins biking with the kids. not sure if i should even count it, it was at 6 yr old speed!  i won't be able to get much in over the next week or so, maybe just a bit of yoga.

I want to do the 30 day shred 3-4 times a week because it makes me feel good and strong but can't seem to find the "time"!! Also I guess I'd rather go run outside with DS rather than stay inside waiting for him to take a nap so I can do the darn video loll!

Lost track a little but going to try to remember:

90 min first few days

4/4 Walked the zoo - 2.5 hours = 150 min

4/6 - 4/10  work (active environmental education) 90 min/day = 450

4/9 taught pre-natal hoop workout class = 60 min

4/11 hiked 90 min plus hosted campfire party and frog hike 90 min = 180 

4/12 weeded and planted, washed dogs - 30 min

4/13 rearranging and cleaning out home/walking home depot = 60 min

 

up to now: 1020 (conservatively as I kept my estimations lower)

4/14 1 mile ~ 20 minutes + 20 minutes of walking around Publix

20 + 80 + 40 = 140 + 1,000 = 1,140 minutes

 

I'm going to see if I can brave the heat to walk another mile before dinner - hopefully more because it'll be rainy tomorrow.

 

My daughter called me thin today :)
