I dont know how, but I gained a few lbs last week. I am back to 151.5 and am 5'6".
I am going to the gym this morning and am allowing myself a small piece of chocolate on days I work out... that is way better than the huge amount of easter candy I have been eating.

Good luck everyone!!!!

SAHM to Chloe«- 6/2008 (10 lbs, 5 oz), Hannah- 9/2010 (9 lbs, 12 oz), Liam- 2/2013 (9 lbs, 6 oz)

Were we supposed to weigh before breakfast?

After breakfast and lunch, I weigh 152: the lowest I've seen the scale in a while :)

May God bless you and His Blessed Mother Mary keep you!  :-)

My "official" weigh in this morning was 178.5 lbs.

Off to a good start with a kale & strawberry smoothie, yum! I use to have a green smoothie every morning (really helped me avoid that first trimester constipation this last pregnancy) but I just haven't been taking the time to make them lately. I threw everything minus the liquid together last night so all I had to do this morning was put the blender blade on and pop it on the blender. I think when the baby wakes up from her nap we''ll go out for a walk/jog.

Hello I would love to join this challenge. We are planning to start ttc this fall and I need to loose some weight before I get pregnant.

I am 5'1" and this morning I weighted 185. By the end of this challenge I would love to be 170. 175 might be a more realistic goal but going to aim low smile.gif

My bad habits are eating fast food ( I know, I know!) and snacking when home by myself. I'm also not a huge veggie lover but I'm going to try.

I always do, so that's the routine I wanted to stick to.  You don't have to if you don't want to.

Went for my walk/jog! I ran the first mile then alternated walking and running for another 1.5 miles. Took me about 35 minutes total. I'm going to start doing 5 minutes of running then 5 minutes of walking then work on increasing the run time while decreasing the walk time until I can run the full 30 minutes. I really need to pace myself in the beginning so I don't hurt myself again. I had a stress fracture in my foot 4 years ago (from running too much before I was ready) and it still hurts if I push it too much. I feel very motivated right now to get this weight off and be comfortable in my own skin again!

What a great start for you! I have my scale in the bathroom so I've gotten use to doing it first thing in the morning after I pee (can't have my pee adding weight, lol!)

Okay, I'm joining again and I really want to commit to more exercise & less emotional eating. Things have been stressful and hard these past few months, and I'm really trying to get motivated to cook healthier and lay off the evening sweets. This morning's weight was 180.4 lbs. my goal by the end of these 8 weeks is to lose 8 lbs.

weigh in consistently any time on Monday and post. Whatever time works for you. I figure most people weigh themselves before they eat, but do what feels right.

Still one eighty (numbers on my phone don't work on this forum). I found a neat apparently for keeping track of how much I eat, drink, and exercise. I did twenty minutes of yoga and twenty of walking at a brisk pace today.

Celebrated the first day of the challenge with a burger and fries.  Bacon and cheese, no less!  With coke to wash it down!

Had an apple for dinner, though.

Give me a few minutes while I caffeinate.

@One_Girl No problem. I have been a math teacher and I can read numbers as words smile.gif

@SweetSilver Remember it isn't the individual meals it is the overall picture. Enjoy your splurge and eat healthier with each new meal.

Trish, I have to pee and nurse first otherwise it isn't a happy weigh in.

I want to join in! I participated a while back: perhaps challenge 2-4ish. I was quite happy with my body around 163 lbs but became - surprise - pregnant. The first trimester wiped me out and I was on track to gain roughly the same amount as I did my first two pregnancies (40 ish lbs). Then I found out that I had miscarried. So I had pregnancy weight but no breastfeeding to help take the pounds off. My weight has yo-yoed since then and I peaked this winter at 190.

I'm currently 181 lbs and I'm 5'8. I'm getting sick of disliking my clothing but not wanting to buy any because I hate my size (yup, I know that's stupid). I run for exercise (and stress relief) so I know losing weight will help me improve that area of my life. In fact, I think I started the couch to 5k program because of the challenge forever ago. My goal is to steadily move down from week to week. A pound per week would be terrific but even a 1/2 pound would be nice. Ultimately I'd like to get into the 160's again but that won't happen in eight weeks.

Regarding the part I bolded. . . not stupid, REAL!  I feel the same way.  I am not about to spend $$$ on clothes that I don't want to wear.  I don't like my size, I don't like how I look in the clothes, and the idea of buying stuff for it is just wrong!  Of course, I do need to be clothed.  So, I buy a bit when I have to.  This year, I am really hoping to get to clear out my closet of all these cheap, "fat" clothes and go on a spending spree buying cute clothes.  That will be my motivator.

Also, I am sorry for your loss.  Pregnancy loss can be rough.

Allisonrose I feel the same about clothes and my current body size. I don't want to spend money on clothes I don't like the way I look in. I bought 2 pairs of jeans and some shirts at Wal-Mart because I have to be clothed. So can't wait to fit into my smaller clothes again.

Lilac, I've been wondering if how full I am would really effect my weight. After I weighed in on Monday I then pumped 6 oz, but I was drinking coffee while I did so figured they'd offset each other, lol.

So far I've run/walked Monday and today for 30 minutes. Yesterday I went for a walk while DD1 rode her bike. We're having such gorgeous sunny weather right now I just want to be outside all day. I've eaten much better the last three days. It helps that I made DP finish the cookies and banned him from bringing more candy home, lol! How bad is it that I have a bowl of cereal before bed? I'm always hungry then and if I don't eat I'm starving by morning. Cereal seems like a good option since its light and quick. I'm open to other ideas though.

How's everyone doing so far? Keeping the night time munchies away?

I have some dresses from when I was pregnant so clothing isn't really a problem for me: if I put a skirt and shirt on and the skirt hurts, I change into a dress.

It's been rainy here so far, though rainy season hasn't started yet in Florida. However I walked a mile every day so far; 4 laps around our 2.5 acre yard is a mile and I try to walk at least one every day.

Now that Lent is over and I can eat between and after meals again, I sometimes eat a milkshake before bed (ice cream and milk) and more often I eat whole fruit or leftovers. Tonight I finished the raspberry french toast I made for Saint Catherine of Siena's feast day and that was pretty filling. I'm not going to make it again because nobody except me liked it.

Has anyone else tried taking coconut oil (with apple cider vinegar) in the morning and at night to speed up metabolism? I was doing that and stopped when I started the antibiotic for my infected tooth, thinking the combination may have made me nauseous, and I plan to start again when I finish the antibiotic because I think it was helping a little.

May God bless you and His Blessed Mother Mary keep you!  :-)

I always weigh myself stark naked, first thing after the morning pee. With clothes on and after breakfast or lunch, I always weight a couple of pounds more... lol..

We're moving so I was packing the clothes and found pre-pregnancy clothes... (also a skirt I had bought in France 10 years ago!!) and they FIT!! I was so happy that I put the skirt on and my husband was very pleased to see me walk in the park with my new old clothes haha! I felt pretty and good :)

Catholic mama I've never heard of coconut oil and apple cider together! Might try! For a month or so I did raw local honey, cinnamon and water, morning and night, and stayed away from sweets like never before! I need to start again! Although I am aware that honey has high sugar content but at least it's on the healthy side and keeps my allergies away!

I walked for 40 minutes today but my mother treated us to dairy queen afterwards so it got canceled out. I walked for 75 minutes yesterday but it was at work ( preschool field trip) so I'm not sure if I should count it.

I hate hate hate clothes. I keep bouncing between two sizes but rarely settle.

i can't do honey, it gives me gut problems

but a few years ago i used Coconut oil on veggies at both main meals of the day (about 2 good table spoon per day) whilst eating not carbs at all that week and litterally lost a pound a day for a few days .... but these days, i find hard to not eat carb (i take oatmeal for breakfast ...) ... have baught coconut oil again a few days ago ... hectic life right now so haven't started again .... will possibly manage that next week ...

Yay!  I'm weighing every morning to get a weekly average for my own use, and I weighed in at 159 today.   I know it's one day in a week, but since I have not seen the other side of 160 in 2 months or more, I'm pleased.  Looking forward to seeing my progress on this first week.
