Here is a place you can record how long you exercise this month. Whether you want to set a goal of 1,000 minutes or aim higher, welcome to the club.

Suggested exercises:
walking
jogging
running
swimming
biking
riding an exercise bike
doing sit-ups
jumping jacks
lift weights
run away from the scale


I'll start:
Today I walked a mile. At first I walked 1 lap around the house and somehow it took 10 minutes; I went inside because it was thundering. I walked 3 more laps after dinner to finish the mile and it took about 30 minutes total.

1 mile walked around the yard ~ 25 minutes
20 minutes walking around Walmart
30 minutes walking around Publix
10 minutes unloading groceries (up and down stairs)
10 minutes walking and running around the yard (3 laps around the house plus checked the mail)
95 + 55 = 150/2,000

Morning!!! I'm all in again....

I didn't do quite what I wanted last month. But I'm going to try again.

6/1 - 60 minute hard run on difficult trails
6/2 - 60 minute walking
6/3 - 120 minutes! 45 minute trail run then walking with the neighbor on trails

I'm doing a lot of walking...that's not like me....

6/3 2 hours picking up sticks + 25 minute mile = 145
6/4 35 minutes of picking up sticks + 35 minutes, 1 1/2 miles, 6 laps at sunset = 70
6/5 2 miles so far = 50

100 sit-ups 3 minutes

20+ minutes of cleaning (lots of bending down to pick up and walking around to put away)
2 miles walked, 30 minutes each

1 30 minute mile + 100 sit-ups, 3 minutes + 1 30 minute mile + 10 minute 1/2 mile = ~75 minutes
500 + 75 = 575/2,000

We went to a birthday party after Mass and I ate a doughnut and some other food (fruit and vegetables that I brought), and I had more doughnuts when we came home. I tried to make up for it by:
25 minutes riding my exercise bike + 20 minutes more while dinner baked + walked 1 mile = 70
575 + 70 = 645/2,000

I would like to figure out how to subscribe to this thread.

6/12 2 miles ~50 minutes
6/13 1 mile before it rained ~ 25 minutes + 10+ minutes of walking around cleaning and putting things away
645 + 25 + 50 + 35 = 755/2,000

also today I walked a mile after dinner and walked to meet the neighbors - 40 minutes + 30 minutes of picking up sticks and dragging them (big) or taking them in the wheelbarrow to the stick pile
40 + 30 = 70
755 + 70 = 825/2,000

1 mile + 1 hour of shopping and putting groceries away (up and down stairs) + 30 more minutes of shopping with in-laws (lots of walking) --> 25 + 60 + 30 = 115

I think I left my planner in the doctor's office yesterday so I will be coming here to record a lot more often until I get it back. (I hope I get it back! I wrote in it several times a day.)

6/20 2 miles I went outside four times hoping to stay outside long enough to finish walking a mile and most of the time it thundered and I had to go inside! No rain though.
6/21 1 mile so far

cloudy days with thunder, no walks
6/24 2 miles ~ 50 minutes
6/25 1 mile + 15 minutes watered plants (we planted more in different places and I had to walk to different faucets) + 2 laps, 10 minutes at sunset ~ 50 minutes
25 + 50 + 50 = 125
1480 + 125 = 1,605/2,000

6/26 30 minutes pushing a cart around the grocery store + 10 minutes unloading at home (up and down stairs) + 30 minute walk at sunset, 5 laps around, 1 1/4 mile = 70

10 minutes to water the plants, round that to 20 minutes
3 miles tonight, ~75 minutes + 20 = 95

I would be walking more but that's not practical when it's 90+ degrees F outside and my exercise bike still squeaks/croaks even with liberal helpings of WD-40.

6/30 65 minutes picking up sticks and watering the plants
35 + 65 = 100

I'm so close to reaching my goal with only a few more hours to go!
