I've never done Pilates before and am in bad shape. Any advice?

There was a discussion a couple of weeks back about Pilates, do a search for more info.

I bought the Windsor Pilates DVD. I do the "Advanced" 50 min video, but I only do the first 20 mins, which really focuses on the abs. I really like it!

I tried the "Living Earth" (?) Pilates video, really liked the instructor, she's funny and motivating.

I've had a rough couple of months, so I haven't been as consistent as I would like, so the flab has not really left my body....

Thanks Sarah. I tried to do a search before I posted and I didn't come up with anything. I'll try again. Thanks for your info though!

I would really recommend Winsor Pilates i LOVE it. You can buy the set from somewhere like Target, Wal Mart for not very much. Or try online. It comes with an instructional, basic, advanced i like it alot!

Another fan of the Windsor Pilates tapes. I really don't have time for the 50 minute. So I alternate days betwen the Abs video and the Buns/thighs video. I ordered them with the Advanced and the 20 mintues. I think they're each 20-30 minutes and they target my 2 big problem areas.

We just purchased the Crunch Pilates video. It has 3 different segments that are 10 minutes each (abs, butt, legs). You can do them seperately or all together. Dh and I have been doing it together and sometimes the kids even join in. I think it's a pretty good beginner vidoe and it was less than $10 at Target.
