Where is a good place to get a pedometer?

I had a $5 one earlier this year, but it didn't work very well. Any ideas?

I just got a deluxe one at Target for $20. It marks off the steps, miles, calories burned and tells you the time!

They also had a $10 and $15 model with only one or two features.

do you qualify for WIC? i am not sure if this is offered by all WICs of just the one that my mom is in charge of, but they were handing out free pedometers to their participants not too long ago. if you do get WIC, can't hurt to ask. otherwise, you might be able to find a good one at a sporting goods store, even target or walmart!

I'd like to get a pedometer too. How many steps a day is a good goal?

No I don't get WIC, but I have a friend who does and I'll be sure to tell her.

As for steps and goals, I've heard several people shoot for "10,000 steps" a day. I found my average amt for normal days was only 3,000 or 4,000 steps if that gives you an idea. (I'm not normally a very active person)

Ebay - I hadn't thought of that

Target - drat, I was just there today. I should have read this first.
