Yeah, BBM! So do you start your taper now? I hope you knee continues to improve. Take it easy.

Drjen, it's stunning how many calories are in a lot of things like that. The strange thing about it is that it just makes me hungrier. Congrats on the 4 miles!

Take it easy, Patti. Remember to keep listening to your body.

HM ~ Keep up the good work!

the taper begins now....so I'm in the homestretch. I could not have imagined being here 6 months ago!

How are you feeling Geo?

I'm feeling fine. Just don't ask me to change a poopy diaper or wash nasty dishes.

Wow, you guys, RICE is like magic! Seriously, my knee feels really good. I'd even go for a run today, if I hadn't caught some weird hit-by-a-truck virus. I had a fever for about 36 hours. Still have a little achiness, and now a nasty cough, so I suppose it'll be a few days before I can go back to running. : But I'm good enough to drag the kids around town for errands in the bike trailer, and it's in the high 60s today, so why not?

I'm also still waiting to be able to stand the thought of actually eating food. I guess I might try to have some dinner tonight. Otherwise, it's been a steady diet of pain relievers, cough medicine, cough drops, water and other fluids. Maybe I should go get me one of those moo-lattes. DQ's within walking distance...

Good runs to you all! I hope to be back to it in a few days!

Hi ladies-
Just got back from my run...and it kicked my
I have no energy, which is exactly why I blew off my run yesterday. I get very low on the energy tank when AF is a few days away...lovely

Mmmmm. Moo-latte.... :LOL

So my plan is:
20 min interval today - done!
Wed - quick mat pilates
Thurs - 20 min interval run/walk
Fri - walk with kids when they bike
Sat/Sun - run/walk one of those days

Happy running!

I skipped today. My knee still hurts and I want to wait until the achiness is gone.

I did something kind of stupid though...I think I took too many ibuprofins yesterday and I was not feeling so hot this morning. I ate and drank a ton and that took care of it. Mental note: pay attention to how many pain killer/de-swelling drugs you take

Tomorrow doesn't look good either...so we'll see when my next run is. Maybe a short one on thurs if the inflammation has gone down.

Ladies, we're over here

Careful with that ibuprofen, BBM! I had a college room mate that took so much once for shin splints she doesn't remember being at one of her gym meets where she won her event!
