GOD will be coming to deal with the problem vs. GOD's calling us to fix it. I thought about how these two very different approaches affect the way we see how GOD works in our lives and how we individually view the message of Jesus. Any takers?

I can see how the message would appeal to many when there is a foreign occupation with a belief system that is so very different from your own.

I can see a very strong parallel of today's conflicts in the middle east and see the same situation.
Foreign occupation leading to religious radicalism with political undertones. If the past is to repeat it's self-its not going to be pretty.
I haven't watched anything past the first two segments. I thought the political aspect was interesting also. I like the supposition that Jesus was quite savvy and knew several languages. From what I understand, the political situation and environment are historical fact, and Jesus doesn't make much of it, really. He seems more interested in turning everything upside down, not just the people interested in the political situation!
