A bit behind myself, barely read the last parsha altogether ...

But here's the chabad.org Family parsha page for Mikeitz.

And a cute little Torah'le about dreams/Mikeitz from one of the khevre at Yeshivat Bat Ayin ...

And lastly, Rebbe Nakhman on Mikeitz, as interpreted by R' Lazer Brody.

So it's time for Vayigash, y'all ...

And, of course the Vayigash song (with thanks to "613 Torah Avenue" ...

Yehudah said to Yosef, "I’m stronger it is so
Please take me for a slave, and let Binyamin go."
The brothers knew what they had done to Yosef was wrong
Yosef sent his servants out, and in a voice so strong ... said ...

Chorus:

"I am Yosef, is my father still alive?
Ani Yosef, ha'od avi khai?"

(How old does my youngest have to be before I am finished hearing those songs running through my head each week of reading Sefer Bereishis? )

And of course, from Bat Ayin, this time from R' Raz again (R' Raz Hartman, that is), a real kishke-kicker ...

Shavu'a tov, mamas ...

So promised myself I wouldn't spend too much time here tonight, too much work to do. b'H. So anyway, here's the chabad.org "family parsha" page for VaYekhi ...

To be honest, none of the entries for VaYekhi at the batayin.org site blew me away this week, so am not linking to 'em. Sigh.

Ah yes, the blessing of Ya'akov's children. So what does he bless them all with, and why?

I'd just like to read some more that let's me know why this isn't a depressing parasha to have for one's bday.

hi girls! mv dont know which parsha you mean vayechi or shmos but they are all supposed to be uplifting b/c ultimately they teach us that hashem runs the world. that is sometimes a gevaltig thing, someties a consolation prize.

Movin' on down to Mitzrayim/Egypt ... the chabad.org Family Parsha page ...

and audio from Bat Ayin on the parsha that, to be honest, I haven't listened to yet. Aiming to hear it tonight.

Was hoping to post more of Mimi Feigelson's shiurim, but there's nothing in the archive for the first few parshiyot of Sefer Shmot (chapters of the book of Exodus) ... sigh.

I think we should start a new thread for sefer Shmos/ the Book of Exodus. This one's getting a bit unweildy.
