I made a HUGE batch of turkey soup to can last night and I am now ready to can. I did a little research online today and found you cannot can dairy. I used about 2 cups of mashed potaoes to thicken the soup. there was butter in the mashed potatoes (I used one stick of butter and a little milk on 5 lbs of potatoes). Does this mean I cannot can my soup? I think I still can because it is such a small amount,butI don't want to ruin this giant batch of soup. Any ideas?
