I am on a low carb diet because of a medical condition and I am looking for dip recipes made with cream cheese. I cant eat bread or crackers so Something that will go well with dipping veggies. . . . . .
Thanks
Clam dip has always been a favorite here. Cream cheese, mayo, green onions, clams, worcestershire sauce. Goes great with celery or endive. You just have to be sure to find a Worcestershire sauce that doesn't have HFCS in it.
Here's a dip I make all the time, and it's flexible as far as exactly what ingredients you use.
cream cheese or creme fraiche or goat's cheese
sour cream, plain yogurt or plain kefir
basil and cilantro, torn in pieces or finely diced (your preference)
*I have also added a bit of chili powder to this, fresh garlic and a bit of salt to taste.
*I've used oregano instead of cilantro when cilantro wasn't available, in fact, really, a great number of combinations of herbs would work--play around with it.
*Sometimes I tear the herbs so the dip is full of big leaves; other times I dice it very finely or run it through my hand-cranked herb grinder and it comes out all pulpy and lovely.
This is a rich and yet fresh, flavorful dip that would certainly go well with any type of crudite that you fancy!
Equal portions drained marinated artichoke hearts (save marinate), parmesan cheese, cream cheese. Whirl in food processor. Add marinate from artichokes as needed for consistency. Heat (oven or microwave) until cheese is melted.
I have no idea if this meets low-carb guidelines or not, but our family loves it.

What is pesto?

It's awesome on veggies. This makes a ton though so you might want to cut it in half.
Pesto is great stuff! Basil pesto is ground-up fresh basil, mixed with Parmesan, garlic pine nuts and olive oil into a green paste. It doesn't taste cheesy, despite the Parmesan; it just tastes like a delicious basily substance that's hard to describe. Sundried tomato pesto is the same deal with sundried tomatoes instead of basil. You can make it yourself or buy it in jars. It's nice spread on bread or crackers with cream cheese, but if you're low-carb you can just mix it directly into the cream cheese for a dip. It's really good!

If you want a splash of Tabasco in this, it's even better. Dip with celery, carrots, even blanched broccoli.
my favorite easy dip is a package of cram cheese, softened, mixed with a packet of either french onion soup mix or ranch dressing mix.
not the most natural recipe, but tasty and quick in a pinch
(and pest o is usually by the pasta sauces in the grocery store. comes in little 4 oz jars most of the time)
Take 3 -4 cloves of garlic, mince, then add 3-5 sundried tomatos, packed in oil, mince, then add softened cream cheese and blend well. I do this in my food processor. It's really good...if you like garlice
We add more than the 3-4 cloves, but we REALLY like garlic
Chili cheese dip! Spread the cream cheese in a dish, top with chili (or if you're anywhere near Cincinnati...Cincinnati-style chili, yum) and shredded cheese and bake until it's melty and bubbly.
Or, a buffalo-style chicken dip would be really good, too. Cream cheese, hot sauce, blue cheese dressing, and chicken. Super yummy with veggies--carrots and celery, of course, but also cauliflower, broccoli, etc.
Forgot to say that cream cheese also goes very well with sweet chilli sauce.
