I am new to breadmaking (if you can call it that- I've only made one loaf so far. LOL.) And I have been craving cinnamon rolls. Laurel's beard book has a cinnamon roll recipe that is made from her feather puff bread recipe.
I like thew idea of it because it contains cottage cheese, which has lots of protein, etc. Which makes it slightly better than the typical cinnamon roll recipe- LOL. So has anyone tried it? Or do you think it would make good cinnamon rolls?
Here are the ingredients:
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup water
2 tsp active dy yeast
1/12 cup warm water
5 cups whole wheat flour, finely ground
1/2 cup powdered milk (any ideas what I can sub here?)
1 1/12 tsp salt
2 tbs butter
(thats just for the bread, not including the cinnamon filling or a glaze.
