I see everyone saying they buy bulk beans/flour etc. There is no place local for me to do that, is there anywhere online that doesn't kill with shipping?

I am trying reallllllllllllllllllllllllly hard to go no processed, and it would totally help to have this stuff on hand so I dont have to go to the store more than once a month lol

I would see if there is an Azure drop-site near you.

www.azurestandard.com

Then you wouldn't have to pay shipping and their prices are great!

We have no drop points near us either... I would also be interested to know what their shipping is like cost wise.

I would contact them and let them know that you're interested in having a local drop site. We just got one in our area a year ago because enough people requested it.

It might also be good to place a thread in your local FYT area to get other local members to request a drop site.

Any other options for bulk online? I talked (again) with the lady at Winn Dixie and they are *supposed* to start carrying alot more organics, but just not much meat wise They have ok selection in canned stuff, but now I am scared of canned because of everyone talking about BPA in them...

I know of nothing online that will ship more than bits and pieces with high shipping costs.

Have you thought about just doing a major trip to your largest city and doing a good health food store? with the cost of gas and being able to pick your own items you might save in the end - we are use to driving and often go 2 plus hours for certain items a few time of the year

Not here. I was browsing their site once and liking what I saw until I found this, a book that recommends hitting babies as soon as they can roll over and specifically mentions hitting their 5 month old daughter with a tree branch. Yikes! I'm not shopping there!
