I was searching for something and stumbled upon The harmful effects of fermented foods. I've never heard about fermented foods possibly being bad for you, and I'll admit that this "article" seems sort of...uneducated? but it did get me wondering.
Is there any real reason to be concerned about homemade fermented foods?

It's very counter to what I know of fermented foods, and to believe something which goes radically in the face of a great deal of other evidence, I would like to at the VERY least see them citing their sources, much less credible studies. There isn't a single citation in that, which to me, is completely discrediting. They state "facts" without evidence.
As far as I know, the main possible danger of fermented foods is the possibility of contamination with undesirable, harmful organisms-- so we are careful with cleanliness in the preparation and storage of fermented foods, and that danger is greatly lessened.
