I'm involved with opening a new movie theater, and they're looking for topping ideas for their popcorn, so hit me with them... what's your fave?

I prefer oiled popped popcorn (not hot air) topped with just a little salt. Occasionally I like butter but it has to be *good* butter like Kerrygold or Plugra.

In the summer I like the kettle corn they sell at our local fair.  Who knows what crap they make it with but it is GOOD!

Drizzle popcorn with melted butter, then toss with one of these spice mixtures:

nacho = garlic powder, onion powder, chilli powder, cumin, oregano, salt

ranch = garlic powder, onion powder, dill, parsley, salt and pepper

The most delicious popcorn I ever had was curried popcorn with nuts and crystallized ginger pieces.  It was so good.

Oh Betsy I love Tony's on my popcorn!  The best part is I don't have to share then, it's too spicy for the kids!

I love parm, cinnamon sugar, butter and salt, really, anything as long as it's on popcorn.

I just recently had kettle corn (you know with a bit of sugar and salt) with a dusting of coco powder.  I thought it would be weird, but it was really addictive.

And now I want to make some popcorn and try some of these yummy sounding ideas, but we out of popcorn kernels. Bummer.

Shantimama i am more boring than you. i like mine air popped with nothing on it. i love the flavour of the popcorn itself. i get the multicoloured ones from our coop and it tastes soooo good.

one of my favourite research projects is to eat popcorn from round the world - watch how they make it adn what they put on it.

cant wait to go down to south america and see what they do there.

DH has been obsessed with making "bbq corn" lately.  He mixes smoked paprika, chili powder, a pinch of cayenne, onion powder, a little salt and sugar.  I haven't tried it on popcorn ( I can't have corn) but he loves it and I love the mix on my oven fries. yummy.gif  Sometimes he makes "hot-corn" too-frank's hot sauce and butter on his popcorn.

ooooo, I've never had honey on popcornlurk.gifthat sounds wonderful!!  I also love Kettle Corn, but I haven't found a way to make it at home.  The kids love popcorn popped in coconut oil, then buttered and coated with pumpkin pie spice and sugar.  My fav is with butter, salt, and nutritional yeast.  I also love black pepper on my popcorn (then I don't have to share lol).  Tabasco is pretty good on buttery popcorn too!

Yeah, we love to melt half butter half honey together and drizzle that over the popcorn.  Melting the honey with the butter makes the end product a little less sticky.  Dh doesn't like sweet popcorn, so he just has butter and salt.

We always had brewer's yeast and tamari as kids, but I had a bad experience with brewer's yeast and lost my taste for it.

I'm a die hard salt and butter fan, though I'd like to try nutritional yeast on it sometime.
