I went gluten free this week after putting it off for so long. Now I am doing my first gluten free camp trip for 2 nights. . Here is my plan.

Breakfast: Fruits, yogurts, GF muffins, Eggs, Deer sausage, potatoes. (Not all in one breakfast of course.)

Lunch: Tuna, rice crackers, yogurts, fruit, veggies and dip. GF bread and PB and J.

Dinner: Steak and potatoes with garden salad one night, and Italian sausage, potatoes and coleslaw the other night.

Snacks: GF smores, and potato chips, and fruits and veggies.

Anything else that you think would be handy to bring.

Me(33), Mama to a crazy DD (6), Wife to a wonderful mountain man(32) BF my babe for 2 years.

Sounds great.  My fave camping treat is banana boats--slit a banana (peel still on) length-wise but don't cut all the way through.  Stuff slit with pieces of chocolate, wrap the whole thing in foil and cook in fire embers for a little while, drag out with stick, open and eat with spoon.  GF and delicious!!!!

Wow, my kids are going to love that!

I love Mexican food, so I take corn tortillas and dehydrated refried beans.  We also usually take rice and/or oatmeal.  I like to take fruits and veggies for snacking -- grapes travel fairly well, apples, oranges, snap peas, baby carrots, etc.

Rice and quinoa are easy to cook and are GF. I would also bring along corn tortillas and trail mix.

Hummus and some gf tortillas (like the ones from Trader Joe's), hard-boiled eggs, gf oatmeal.  Also, have you eaten gf bread? Make sure you taste test it before bringing it to make pb and J. Some of them are really nasty. Oh, and tinfoil dinners are easy and good with some meat and veggies (potatoes and carrots?) all wrapped in tin foil and set on the coals.

I love homemade: cute skirts, apricot jam, and family!
