I am starting out on healthy eating for my family. We don't eat that poorly, but it could be a lot better. I haven't read the forums much, kind of missed that it exists, but I've seen mention of conventional food. Conventional meat, conventional dairy, that type of thing. What do you all mean by the term "conventional"? Thanks!

Regular stuff you buy at a chain grocery store is what I mean when I use those terms. Meat that's raised in factory farms, pasteurized milk, eggs from grain-fed chickens, non-organic, mass produced produce, etc.

Tandem nursing, Baby-wearing, Co-sleeping, Car seat-checkin' (CRST) Mama to my sweet boys, Peter (4.20.08) and Jasper (4.25.11).

I use it to mean non-organic food.  Much like PP said.  It is the stuff that is bad for you.  Loaded with chemicals.  Produced by billion dollar companies that do not care about your health or the health of the planet.  The majority of stuff on Walmarts shelves...
